Well, I can tell you that sanity will not begin with me. Sorry, Twizted, you saw a partial complement of my lunacy last night.

Hi, new posters! If you like wearing underwear on your head and more than the occasional d1ck and fart joke, you found the right place! Oh yeah, we actually have some intelligent posters around here too. Whooda thunk it? So, pull your panties up and get posting!

Hey all,

Just saw the post on the EQ forum and decided to drop in. The thought of having an eternal life bracelet sounds great! When do I get mine?!

I guess I should say a bit about myself. I am 6'6" and well built, play professional basketball, have a private jet which I fly around the world in...oh wait, damn that's not me; too bad really that was starting to sound fun. I am 21, 5'11" 210Lbs, live in Phoenix, AZ (I.E. Hell) and am trying to get back to college. I like all music, don't believe me??? *Pfft* Just try me! I spend most of my time on EverQuest and at my job, where I am a Quality Assurance Technician *snore*.

Have I worn underwear on my head you ask?...That is for me to know and you to find out. ;) Wait, I guess that's why your asking, you want to find out. Bah. *takes underwear off head* NO...I have not!

Can I be the first to say, Damn man! Get your hot self up to Canada. I'll let you sleep over...Smiley: wink2 I'll even give you some blankets.

Sentient, if you have any openings, I'm trying to get out of my current line of work. And I can commute to (northern) NJ too...

Tare, if I'm not mistaken, the cheese remark is a line from "Encino Man". That's the phrase Brendan Fraser learns in Spanish.

In the spirt of friendship, here is me:

Age 30 Height 6' Weight 150 lbs married live in Los Angeles,
California. Hang out at University, get paid. Recognize
Skeeter's photo from theonion.com. Do not regularly ware
underware on my head. Have not used underware on head as
a device with which to keep head warm, or as a fashion
statement, or as a potential come-on to my wife. I play
a 57 rogue on Terris Thule. Toon named after my dog. Dog
is dead now. He was a wonderful dog. Am thinking of
getting surname Inmemorium but maybe that is too sappy.
Since this is the OOT forum, what do you guys think?
#84 Jan 29 2004 at 8:08 PM Rating: Decent
Very, very sappy. I therefore like it. Go for it.

Hello everybody.

I'm a 35 year old father of two living in the armpit of central Florida somewhat South of Orlando and East of Tampa. I have a 3 year old daughter and a 5 year old son and they are the pride and joy of my life and the main reason I am no longer sane.

I'm 6'2" and about 270 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. Third generation pure American-of-Irish-descent. (I prefer that to Irish-American as I'm an American first.)

At various times, I have: served in the Marine Corps, sold encyclopedias door-to-door, tended bar, worked several retail sales jobs, been the assistant manager of a porno shop, worked as security at Disney, been a federally licensed fruit and vegetable inspector (No, really.), done a stint on a PC helpdesk, worked steel construction (You don't know hell until you've put a galvanized steel roof on a warehouse in the middle of Florida in July. My workboots literally melted.), and right now I'm working in a nursing home stripping and rewaxing floors.

I've had a very interesting life so far.

Been a computer junkie since TRS-80s were state of the art, focused mainly on hardware. My computer gaming life started with Doom, but really blossomed with Descent. Been playing EQ off and on (but more on than off) since shortly after it went live and long before Kunark. Not playing right now due to the death of my main computer (running on my backup PoS for the moment). But tax refunds are just around the corner and I'm itching to get back into it.

For fun, I create music (mostly techno), dabble in CGI, write fiction (even got published on a very small scale), build stuff out of wood, and (duh) play EverQuest. When I'm not goofing off with the kids, of course.

I'm very glad to be here and I really look forward to the many opportunities to engage in mutually beneficial adult discussion of ideas, lifestyles, and opinions.

And if you believe that horses**t, I'm gonna have a lot more fun here than I thought I would!

I'm in! We can have our own little convention and discuss the finer nuances of Canada/US relations. /purr

Seriously though, I live very close to the Rockies and have been snowboarding for about 10 years. I love it, even though I can't do jumps very well. I always end up landing on my rack. Ouch, that hurts.

Canada/US relations?

I think that Robin Williams said it best: "Canada is like a loft apartment over a really great party."

Sorry, but US > Canada any day, except for hockey, eh?

Yeah, you might be on to something there, Twizzler. Guess I better find a lumberjack or logrider to wear the banana suit... again.

Hey, why do I have to go up to Canada? Come down to Illinois. Just don't pronouce the "s" at the end, the locals frown upon it.

Also, what kind of nick-name is Twizzler? So I look sound (read?) like a fruit snack to you? Maybe something like "Stud Muffin" or "Big Daddy", but not Twizzler...

Edit: Crazy spelling

Ok, I'll do it...

26 yo AD M c/o addiction to EQ. Pt. states that he is 5'10", 145lbs., bald, and has blue eyes. He grew up in lameland, FL and thinks anyone that believes that is a step up from anywhere lives in a really bad place. He currently is stuck in Iraq and has been in this condition for almost a year now. He is suffering from severe withdrawal from EQ. This has led him to become a lurker on several EQ boards and after running out of fresh posts turned him to the OOT board. He feels that this may contribute to his insanity, but is fine with that. Recently he has taken to posting ona few boards including the OOT board. He fears that Tara my not be what she claims to be. Soon he will be back in the comfort of his own apartment.

Pt has stable vital signs with a bounding pulse at the mention of EQ. Pt. is found scouring the web for info about EQ.

Pt. is suffering from sever withdrawal from EQ, compounded with a seperation from friends, family, alcohol, and sex.

Pt. requires imediate evacuation back to the US for extended play of EQ, time with friends, family, large quantities of Alcohol, and rampant sexual interaction.

I'd just like to thank all of the new posters brave enough to post a little information about yourself. Generally, we here at the OOT have been accustomed to complaining about how boring it is, not posting anything new(waiting for somebody to post a thread then responding to it), and verbally bashing new people.

Seeing as how this is my only means of sanity while at work, I am striving to drive up the "Recent Visitors" numbers.

And Tare, not every single thread needs to evolve into you teasing men Smiley: glare

Since you all were very good about giving some information, I suppose I can get a little personal for any of you reading this.

I'm a 23 year old male (I've got a mangina though Smiley: wink2)
6'1", 175ish pounds (trying to gain weight), black hair, hazel/grey/blue-ish eyes? (Flea, help me out with that).

My Mother is from Honduras, and my father is from Idaho, which makes me 1/2 Cracker I guess.

I started out playing EQ, on Morell-thule, moved to Stromm when it started up and my main is a 59 Beastlord there. Though I started out with a Necro on Stromm, which is still at 52 IIRC.

Not sure what happened, but pretty much since I moved out of my apartment into this townhouse I'm in, I stopped playing EQ. Was playing it every night up to the final day before I had to be out of the apartment. Haven't gone as far as closing my account or anything, I still play once a week or so.

Like some of you have also stated, I dabble in music, I was a Music Composition Major with a Minor in Vocal Performance. Had a gig composing music for some churches in California, also played around and made some dance/house/techno music, some of which got played in a few small scale clubs in Northern California.

Just recently started college up again, and though it's only one class at the moment, it's still very tiring. I work at a great company, under a not so great boss, but hey, that's life sometimes.

Some of you have yet to meet Thundra. She will be upon us soon.
Be afraid, be very afraid.

But, she mostly goes after Smash... mostly.

I have a feeling my Internet company (being the morons that they are) have gone down because of the latest "Mydoom" virus, so I couldn't respond to all of you wonderful new posters last night like I wanted to. So, this is my welcome to all of you.

Thank you again for coming over here and joining in on the fun.

Enjoy your stay!

Two things, Moe.

1. Did you watch the Winter Olympics? Last time I checked, Canada won the gold. That's what I meant. You're right if you were thinking of the Leafs, the Senators, and the Canucks. They suck this year.

2. Avalanche suck my fantasticles. Think about it. Go Whalers!!!

Bah. Smiley: bah Edmonton is sucking my fantasticles (love that word) this year. However, terrible hockey opens the door to wonderful Canadian beer, and that can't be a bad thing. *hic
