Heya, From Garuda, considering a new server to get a kind of a fresh start on things, thought I'd say hey. Wanted to pick a server with an economy close to my own so I don't get there and say "wtf?" to the prices, lol.
How are ya'll when it comes to RMT, conquest, etc. I'm sure things are pretty much the same on most servers, I know Garuda has seen a huge decline of RMT (fishermen, etc) tho there are still those ones that everyone knows are RMT and are still there, lol.
As far as conquest, I'm curious to know if any server has ever had control of movapolis. >.> I remember this past Christmas I wanted to make gingerbread houses but alas! no baking soda!
I'm still working on getting Zmitts, so would also be interested in a good sky ls. By good I mean one that doesnt have to use cheats to actually accomplish things and is helpful with other things (Such as my current ls on Garuda, we just did an R-pump run this saturday and are planning an Ohat run soon as well)

Take it as you will. These server forums, it seems, are a bit slow.
I can only judge Cerberus by the people who're on my friends list, honestly, and I can't really complain for that. I can't picture the game of FFXI being any different elsewhere. I do, at times, wish that there was a genuine sense of 'server community', though. Maybe elsewhere you DO get this, but that's not how I've experienced it.

The server forum on ffxi.killvoid.com is much more active, but be warned, its a very hostile environment

You're probably right, most servers will be about the same. You'll have your good friends, and you'll have the notorious "omg everyone knows that person is an ***!" as well as that person who's a good guy, but just cant play the game very well. and of course the rmts that everyone knows are rmt yet are still there, lol

Hostile? I've never really bothered looking at the place. Is it just the usual inane internet trolling, or typical FFXI-bred elitism, which is arguably even more idiotic?
Either way, that's kind of a sad commentary.
Economy: Pretty steady atm, just like other servers. The prices seem to have stopped dropping.
RMT: There are still some around but not enough to be a bother for me, don't know about the HNM scene tho.
Movalpolos: Sandy had it once a few weeks after CoP was released, since then beastmen has owned it and will probably keep doing so.
