Lol, Yeah it wasn't so bad at first but now Leet's in BS about 5% of his time ingame if that.
Ok... so Leetfade wasn't the best example. ; ; I left YF in January, and back when he first joined he did seem to bounce back and forth a lot to his old LS. Ahh well.
In a funny turn of events, I actually picked up a bladeslinger shell recently, just to meet more people and keep active now that I no longer hunt HNM. I had been looking for a shell where there were no agendas or people second guessing your motives, just simple conversation and a chance to help people out on zilart/cop and whatever else is going on.

The common fact i see with people in HNMLS is that they don't usually help unless they get reward (outside of their hnmls). They are so used to getting points or gil or w/e from time invested.. it's not worth their time to just help someone.
I enjoyed doing the events... and meeting new people. But most look at new players as competition for the gear they want.
I agree... many people suffer from a "whats in it for me???" disorder at endgame. A lot of people say that to succeed in an HNMLS you must treat it as a part time job, and from that you get a "time is money" mentality.
I still have my "endgame" LS that keeps me active in Dynamis and Sea, and other fun events (plus great people as well). It works well for me since my playtime lately has been substantially reduced so I can log in and help out where I can. Best of all, no one is "keeping score" so I am free to miss a week or two for RL stuff without consequence.
I am in a fortunate situation where I really have nothing I need or want urgently. I am quite content with my gear, financial success and my progress in game (finished CoP, etc). Other then giving me a chance to participate, I don't really "need" anything from my endgame LS. That may change once I start leveling more jobs, but for now I can simply say my status in game these days is "comfortable".
