Right around 9 PM EST today (Tuesday) -- 3 consective waves of Beastmen (buffed up with latest update :P) attacked Al Zahbi... The first level 5 Troll wave nearly made it to the plaza in front of the Astral Convenace (where there is a NPC ask you to donate coins). The intial troll wave did kicked the ***** out of adventures waiting at the gates very well X_x

Blood was spilled, but it is Adventures + Al Zahbi 3 - Beastmen 0

Good job SE. That was very fun :P

It was a blast, I died so much and couldn't stop laughing.

It was an absolute riot!!! The most fun I have had in this game for a while.

One point of interest: When the invading mobs breach the second wall, you can HP and get back in the battle. The main gates are still closed, but you can come back via the upstairs entrance. Plus, there was (ever so) slightly less lag thanks to having more room.

A new strategy, perhaps?

They did took one hostage... but our taru on the box is still there :P Some servers allow that taru to be taken :O It became a big uproar!

I had a blast. I am glad they made it that you don't lose any XP. I didn't want to come out thinking it would be another lame attack but boy was I wrong.

I thought you did lose exp in Besieged... Maybe it's just assault.

Nope you do not lose exp in Beseiged.

I am glad SE made Beseiged... I actually I hope they even make the mobs harder... I think eventually people will get organized enough to beat the current difficulty... they need to make it hard enough that losing is actually quite possible :O

This battle was the what many of us invisioned Beseiged to be. It was such a blast ^.^ I can't wait for it to happen again!! Bring it on beastmen >:)

If they get a higher lvl it is quite possible that we will lose ~ but that would even make this epic battle more fun :P.

I died so much on the first wave :P ~ but it was so much fun. Thankfully no xp loss :D... Gave up putting up RR3 cause rather have full HP/MP than be weakened.

I got about 1500 Imperial Points during the whole event >:), and purchased all the maps from the NPC guard. So there are more than just fun, drama to do Beseiged.

What a great idea to put the warping taru in Al Zahbi Smiley: mad. :P I am looking forward to the day that he got taken prisoner :P (which he will, just when ;) )

Bring on the Beseiged drama and bloodbath!

I logged in last night 2 minutes before the announcement was made that the first wave was on the move. I ran down by the gate to await the onslaught. It didn't take long to realize the level of the beasts were much different than the battle the day before.

I fell near the gate after a valiant effort. I enjoyed laying dead on the ground and watching the battle as much as the battle itself. I have never seen so many Taru slides in my life. I laughed so hard watching my little lvl 63 BST friend go down, get raised, go down, get raised, etc. etc. etc. I think he died about 5 times in a very short while.

Once raised and on my feet again, I ran for the home point crystal to set my homepoint inside. I felt the urge to head to the w/c at that point from all the laughing, but the battle was only half over. I wasn't about to leave mid-fight.

Finally the ending cut scene showed our powerful troups were able to fend off the trolls. Finally, I can run to the rest room.... but wait... out of one cut scene and directly into another??? Two more battles later and I finally get to take a greatly needed break.

Excellent teamwork on everyones part. It is nice seeing random linkshells and players joining together to battle in an event without having to form special alliances and without having to be a member of this group or that group. It's us against them. All of the player races and jobs all working as one big team to defeat the mobs. Nicely done players.

SE gets a small pat on the back for a nice addition to the game.

That was the bestest Besieged. I log on and I'm like O.O wtf?!

I logged on during the ending part of besieged Part 1 >.>

Than all of a sudden another cut scene. :O OMG!!! Another. I was all jumping around wanting to fight and drop to the bottom. :O HP 59/1190 O.O they were much stronger on this round. So I see bunch of people standing at the top of the stairs and run to them. :D they helped kill it.

Have this happened i'm sitting there figting one of those serpant/mermaid looking mobs and all of a sudeen all my gear has been removed. I'm nekkid. :O How the hell that happen? Had to put all my gear back on while I was H2Hing this mob O.O Part 2 I got 700 exp.

O.O Another wave :O Part 3 That was fun I got another 700 exp and had enough Imperial Standings to get the remainder of the 2 maps I needed with those points. I logged in at the right time. \o/

Interesting fact:

I got to the party late for the second fight, and wasn't in the area where the fighting was. (For those who don't know, the doors to the area under attack are sealed...so if you warp in to the Homepoint, you can't access the fight unless the doors are breached.)

Now, once those doors are closed, you can't tab and target anyone on the other side...but I had a couple party members fighting close to the door, and I could heal them through the door by typing /ma "Cure IV" < name>. I could Refresh them, too.

Kept a couple people alive that way, didn't come even close to dying (since the wall was never breached), but I did get 400 odd XP and some Imperial Standing points after the victory. Not quite the full points, but that may have been because I wasn't there the whole time, rather than because I wasn't under direct attack.

I would assume this would work for non-party-members, too, as long as they were within casting range.

Edit: Erm, nvm. It's been pointed out to me that it *is* possible to get into the battle zone, I just missed it. Oh well, it's still good to know.

I was there at the 3 in row attack as lvl 61Samurai.

I know I'm lil late but I was asking myself question.

I was always hitting the mob for 0 dmg but my WS and SA were doing some damage.

Do you think the monsters attacks are like... capped or somthing?
Or they have too mutch defense for me?

If & when you die & HP u can go back to the gates at least because the mobs will break thru the gates since they're harder to kill, so you will die.

If you happen to HP start heading towards the gate but go up the first flight of stairs to ur left & work your way around.

Here's a lil route to help the people that aren't used to Al Zahbi yet.

Thank you very much for your replies :)

I thought there was a secret way into the first gated area from the HP. I was hoping to discover a way to get back to the front lines ;)

The open area is indeed accessible from the upper connections as the city gates only close off the bottom routes. This is what I have had to do several times already. Luckily for me (but not the city) the mobs have breached the first gate and you can get to them in the open area.

I wanted to try this so bad but everytime i zoned/logged into Al Zahbi, I would get a timeout error and have to log in again. Eventually I gave up and waited for Besieged to end so I could use that character again. (Another time when having multiple characters helped save me from getting too pissed off)

Does anyone know why this might be happening to me or what I can do to remedy it? I'm on a cable internet connection, shouldn't have any problems ; ;

Some ppl in my LS had the same prob.

Apparently SE fixed besieged in yesterdays maintenance.
Once besieged starts you can't log into your character in Al Zahbi if besieged is occuring.

So you'll have to either log into another character not in Al Zahbi or wait until besieged is over. -_-
