Hi,
So, I really want to get a Haubergon for my samurai because I H-A-T-E Royal Knight Chainmail.
Currently on our server Haubergon is around like 5.5m?
Anyway I got like 100k <.< but I have around 140 beastman seal to use.
So the question is : With 140 beastman seals can I get enough money to buy myself a sexy Haubergon?
I thought that the BCNM 20 that drop Astral Ring (~1.8m) whould be good but idk the drop rate.
Can you suggest me good BCNM that will maybe get me the money or make me on the good way?
PS : I'm french. Sorry for the grammar. :-P

BCNMs are hit/miss.
I don't know much about the Astral Ring BCNM but I hear if you don't get the Ring the other drops may not be worth it.
The 40 BCNMs are good but you will normally have to split the profit amongst 5 other players or 2 depending on which BCNM you choose.
I regularly do the 3man Under Observation BCNM. I've only gotten the charm once but it was worth 27m at the time. I'm not sure what it is right now (20m?) but if you don't get the charm NI scroll and Erase scroll drop here. I would say by doing 3 runs you should come up with at least 500k worth in goods. If you hit the jackpot then you will have just enough for your Hauby.

BCNM 60: Celery in Qu' Bai Arena is pretty decent. You can usually average about 5-6 million per person if you do 5-6 runs in a day.

Each of the Ghosts is weak to a certain type of weapon damage.
Mauled Murdoch is weak to Blunt Damage, so Mnk/War x2 and a Whm for Banish and Cure can rock this one. That is the only way I have experienced this BCNM.
However, I think Shredded Samson is the one you would want to fight with another Sam (Or some other job that can use Slashing Weapons, maybe Drg?). Again, bring a Whm. Banish is absolutely necessary for the win. Also, as far as Murdoch goes (and probably the others) he uses a Curse move called "Bane". Make sure the Whm is far enough away NOT to get hit with this. Have the Whm cursna and cure you as quickly as he/she can.
Just keep plugging away till that bad boy is dead. And I am pretty sure I don't have to tell you that a Fusion Skillchain followed by a Whm Magic Burst can definitely help.
(Obviously, the Whm needs to bring his or her A-game for this one ^^)

BC40 Royal Jelly
2 Good War/Nins and a good Rdm/Whm
I do this with a friend IRL and a friend in my LS.
It's absurdly easy, and normally get pretty decent drops.
(Ni, Erase, etc.)

The BCNM 60, i've never got good drops for it... the best i got was a trailor kurki (SP) that dagger thingy... which goes for 500k-600k.. most of the time its just the small things... never seen elusive earring drop on that one. It might just be my luck xD
I'd say BC60 in giddeus is pretty reliable, the coeurl one. P rope drop rate is 50% as far as i've done it. Can be duoed with a nin and a whm or rdm if you know what to do ^_^;
BC40 mandy one has decent drops quite frequently, but it requires you finding a brd that knows what he's doing.. and also 6 people share...
BC40 p charm one is a gamble for good money i think ^_^v not too sure the drop rate on Ni and Erase tho since i've only done it 3 times

One word on Wild Wild Whiskers (Penitent's rope coeurl fight), I don't recommend going w/o a WHM. Only WHM can get stona and it will be used a LOT.
If your NIN gets petrified, you really don't want to tank that kitty as a mage. LoL

Also, one more suggestion. Check out the new level 55 armor from COP. It's what I like to call the "poor man's Hauby". It's most likely what I will be using for my SAM. There is a link to it on the home page.

BCNM20 Wings of Fury is ok, since you can solo it as a BST or duo it as MNKs, so you dont have to split the money to many people if you happen to get something.
The droprate in the other hand.. sucks. We just did it with my cousin like 5 times during full moon, and about 6 times after full moon and we got 0 Astral rings, 2 Thunder spirit pacts (100-150k) and tons of some worthless crap.
You could always get lucky and get like 3 Astral rings in a row, it's all about luck. :-P

Une autre suggestion serait de faire des bcnm avec la gang de Jago. Ca fait un petit bout que j'en fait plus partie de la ls, mais la gang de musketeers fesait des soirees de "The worm's Turn" pour vider les seals de la gang. On avait presque toujours un drop d'Erase et aussi Laurewen a aussi pogner Utsusemi: Ni une fois. Tu pourrais leur demander s'ils ont envie.
ps. Mon clavier est en anglais alors pardon du manque d'accents lol. ^^'

My seals have been burning a hole in my Mog Safe, so if you- or anyone doing BCNM, need a hand, lemme know. I'm 55SAM at that moment. I also have 40WHM, but I sold some of my WHM gear so it's gimped atm- and I really don't feel like WHMing right now.

Some good things drop from royal jelly but I haven't them drop often them. We got erase a few times though.
