Cetranne: Sorry to bring this up. Another tale of woe.Follow

Recently I joined a party with the infamous Cetranne. I hadn't known anything about her as I had yet to check the server forums (Forgive me!). In any case, I had just gotten back from a three month hiatus of Final Fantasy, and I was playing White Mage. Garlaige Citadel is the place we're to party.

So, here I am, running all the way over because what little money I had left had gone into replacing my armour. I zone in, and get to the party.

Typical chorus of "Hello!" "Welcome!" Et Cetera.

Aaaand we pull. Everything kinda goes downhill from here.

Puller accidentally links one, Cetranne decides we can take it, and so I'm frantically scrambling about for healing back and forth between two tanks. Soon after spam, I've got two very angry bats on my little white mage bum.

Stoneskin and Blink wear quickly, and I'm hauling tail to the zoneline. Zone-thud. One of those nice, quirky "You can zone, but you're still dead" sort of things. I start asking for a raise, and they say "Sure! The party next to us will raise you."

So I wait.

..

And wait.

..

WAIT! I'm not in the party anymore! {Huh!?} I send a tell to Cetranne, our leader, and get the following, enraging, hope-crushing message from the lovely Cetranne:

"We got a PL, we don't need you anymore."

I haven't played WHM since.

Don't people get sick and tired of these who-suck thread? Also when something like that happen, it is not only Centranne's issue, it is the whole PT issue for not finding someone to raise you. And people like to pick on one person (who had been accused as being part of the "Axis of Evil") while I think there is group responsibility involve.

IMO, when something go wrong, it is everyone's responsibility as a team to fix it. I really hate blaming one specific person. I am not defending Centranne, but I think there is a lot of unjustifited blaming here.

Sorry to hear that, but as Amanada said, why didn't the other 4 PT members help out?

If what OP said is true, then I think the other members only care about xp but nothing else.

I really do not like pot shots to defame someone to make oneself look good. As I said, I do not think Centranne is doing is right, but it is like all blame the black dog for the mess, while other white dogs are just as bad.

I hate the threads that "Let's blame everything on known suspected cheater." when everyone are just as bad. What a lot of such threads is just aim to defame, or to make oneself look morally superior and show off.

Meh, for once I'll disagree with you, Ama. This is the typical Cetranne attitude (I've pted with her as well and had a pt next to hers). Unfortunately, most won't step up against the pt leader due to a) They were lfg for a long time already and are afraid they won't get another pt right away b) They just try to avoid conflict altogether c) just don't care.

I'm not justifying their actions, but, Cetranne is at fault. If she had a "pl" then that person could have very easily raised the player and they could have continued.

The blatant disregard for people shown by some individuals in this game is atrocious.

Now having said that, yes the threads are a little annoying, but, I don't think this was merely meant as a bashing thread. I didn't see the typical "Avoid Cetranne at all costs!" or "Zomg I hate Cetranne so you should too!" type deal so I don't see it as such a big problem to "inform".

In fact, I know what those people are thinking. It is not really hard to look for a Raise for another person while PTing thou. So the effort for others to help that person out is quite minimal, and do a lot of good. If the PL was really there, other people could have just also asked the "PL" to raise. If PL decides that person worth raising, then Centranne can really do nothing.

I have been in confrontations that literally broke up a PT. May be it was unwise for me. But I do believe in a team work environment, "don't care" should not be used as an excuse. When something f**ked up, everyone should take some degree of responsiblity. Blaming all on one person and refuse to find a solution does more harm than good.

And that's why I said I'm not justifying their actions. Me personally, I would have dropped pt if someone acted like that, but I can't expect everyone else to.

Everyone is responsible for their own actions. To do nothing can be as bad as the person who does wrong, but, not everyone believes in confrontation as a way of resolution. Leaving pt is confrontation. There is no way of saying for sure that nobody else in that pt was looking for a raise. All we know is that they didn't pack up and leave on a party.

(Disclaimer: I'm very agitated over a couple things today so I'm trying to be as un-abrasive as possible. LoL. If I come off rude, it's not directed at you)

A lot of people just want to play the game, and sometimes avoid confrontation to avoid trouble -- it is an understandable (but can be unhelpful) altitude. I do agree with you Leet, sometimes cannot blame other people act that way, but you always hope and aim for the greener grounds.

I grew up in a way -- you do not compare with who suck, go compare with the better ones. If you think you can do better, you should always try. If I think something can be done to make things better, I will try to do so.

Oh yeah. Leet... Must be a tough day at work for you :( Bad days... everyone get them :(

PS:
Anyway as a lighter side, I brand this thread sucks :P (Bluenu style). There are better dramas ;) Too bad Typo or Sotaka don't post here anymore. We need Typo and Sotaka Dramas here :O

Leetfade wouldn't buy my Hawkers +1 for 1.5 million even though he has no applicable use for them.

Now I have "issues" with him.

Note: This is sarcasism. I have no Issues with Leet, I did party with him for about 200xp off of EP mobs this weekend. Don't ask. ><

Sorry to hear that, but don't take it too personal, I feel useless when I'm the WHM in a PT w/ a PL.

Um...

Perhaps it would have been a good idea for me to say that the other party members apologized to me and got me a raise.

Cetranne didn't speak to me after.

However, I was ticked and, after their PL left, I watched her train two of them and die and didn't raise her >..>;;;;

It doesn't surprise me in the slightest that she depends on PLs now... it suits her intelligence.
