I notice the server is about 200-300 people less than usual... just even compare to 2 weeks ago... People are busy with another game recently, or there is in fact a lot of people quit recently @_@?

Kingdom Hearts??? FFXII??? Just curious...

From my own experience, I have noticed the same thing. I am going to be playing less and less myself in the next few weeks, because I have a ton of school work piling up and I have to complete it in order to graduate this May.

A lot of my friends have been getting burned out a bit too and have been taking some time away from the game. For some reason this is an incredibly busy time of year for many people it seems.

Some of them even comment that they are taking a break now so that they don't get burned out before the new expansion is released.

Also, at least with most NA players, remember we are slowly coming up on Spring. Maybe the arrival of nicer weather has taken people out of their comfortable recliners in their dimly lit living rooms. (I wish I had a comfortable recliner >.>)

Or maybe it is Kingdom Hearts II....

I just know that many of the people I haven't seen around lately are in fact just taking a break for whatever reason and have not quit the game.

I think Spring time, release of expansion soon, and other SE games all important... I am actually playing Genso Suikoden V, and that game kicks *** :P

I think it is a GOOD thing to be away from FFXI... I am imprisoned by the Jailer of Vana'Diel right now _-_;, but I even notice I played a little less recently (just logged in and AFK all the time). In some way, game play is actually better now, the economy is basically back to 1 year ago, current price of some items are even lower than crazy price hike over Christmas.

About the new expansion, I am really no hurry for that. I have it pre-ordered, but going to go explore the new areas with friends. This expansion will kick *** imo, and for fans of the game, I really do not want to see people quit just before it :P

Wait is FFXII out yet? Well Im thinking people either getting outside since its nice out or just taking a break before ToA comes out:p. I "think" Im all ready for ToA. I finished the storys of cop and zilart and finished the newly added stuff. Also did all the card quests in all 4 citys.

From Japan, yes, and I have a copy of the game... Not sure in North America... I always and nearly exclusivly buy import games for my Hong Kong PS2, which does not read NA PS2 games unless you put a chip in (which I didn't).

Three Games I know of pulled a large amount of people to them for a short time.

Kingdom Hearts 2
Oblivion
Dungeons and Dragons Online

I am sure once they die down, the population will return.

I kind of hate that no game is able to pull me away from FFXI. LoL. I really liked Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, but it held my interest for all of one day. :-/ I have a lot of friends on XBox live too, so I want to play it, but there is too much to do in vana. ; ;

The one thing that CAN, however, is warm weather. LoL. I'd rather be cruising around with the sunroof and windows open girl hunting. ;-b

ToAU looks like it will be incredible. I'm sure there will be a lot of people returning for it.

I assure you if I can find a lady I like, it will pull me away from FFXI (or she will be pulled into FFXI >.>)

Four things have pulled me from FFXI.

My job(65 hours a week)
Xenosaga Episode II
Grandia III(completed at 57 hours)
And currently Suikoden V.

However it is my job that is dealing the hardest blow on my attendance in the game. Also I think you are allowed to migrate to different servers thanks to 360 players beginning to leave Hydra. So maybe people are shipping out of cerberus.

I like that game, but too bad don't got too much to play... For some reasons, I think there are more attractive chicks in V than older releases... >.> I played the JP version, so I do not know what the name of that character in NA version, but hero's advisor... She is really hot <.<

Lucretia. :) Yes yes she is.

I like Luserina though. Classy girls are a huge turn on.

Alas it is only polygons ;p.

There is also a Lucretia on our server too >.> "She" has a White Mage AF2 body, and same model as me @_@ lol

But! Lucretia in Sukidoen V is hotter :P Smart ladies always turn me on. I also like that ganbarimasu (JP) "do my best" types _-_.

Add:
Who is Luserina @_@? I only know the Japanese names.

Lucretia -- Adult charm, smart.
Luserina -- Cute, sly, and classy.

I am playing Oblivion and all the girls in there are dirty or look like lizards or tigers (and by tigers, not cute ones but crazy fanged and snarly ones.)

Just to clear things up, one doesn't play Oblivion. One becomes intimately involved with Oblivion. Game play makes all the difference.

I think I took a break around this time last year and i'm currently taking a break which i've been on for like probably 2 months.

I've just been burnt out on getting things done in game and couldn't get a party to save my life (with my work schedule and all).

Right now i'm just trying to enjoy life and relax. I'll come back to XI. I just don't know when yet.

One word...

Oblivion.

Oh wait, if you count me saying 'one word' then thats three words. Dammit!

If people are confused as to why an FFXI addict like myself is able to be pulled away by one offline game. Then think of it like this. The damn game incorporates pretty much everything you've ever wanted in an offline roleplay. @.@ It's maddening. I just started the game and I keep thinking about how incredible it is. I'm playing it on the Xbox 360 as of right now and whoosh <--thats me letting out my breath.

So like if you got anything out of what I just said, then good for you. If you didn't just realize this.

Playing Oblivion = Whoa.

Meh, my character is pretty much dead now anyway. PS2 is in for repairs and my PC can't handle battle lag. And wether I'll come back for good or not depends on how good ToAH is and if I'll be able to do missions w/o a LS.
