Trying to organize a promy run for either of these this weekend.
so far i have me who can go as war/drk/bst/whm/brd, a blms, and possibly a warrior. If you need this or simply want to help, post or send me a tell in game. I believe all parties above have all the recollections farmed.

sheppard- your choice of dd job (sam if possible. two hours and meditate would help alot.

Deffinately want in if can either as PLD/WAR OR WAR/THF(MNK AND NIN too low to sub). I have two of the three animas, one recollection tied up with the alchemist, and two more recollections waiting to to be turned into animas. Only issue is can only do these thursday-saturday after 10pm est. the joys of working two jobs /:
I'm probably gonna bring 2 of my friends thru Promy-Mea sometime before this weekend/or weekend. I think im gonna go as RNG, one friend is a SMN, and my other friend can be whatever i tell her to be. Whoever wants to come is more then welcome. Its easier to run through the place with Alliance of people than it is to go with one group. I dont need these so I can bring you all to the Boss, and if u want i can either fight the boss, or, warp out, up to you all. Just leave a post or gimme a /t in game, names maryjane^^

i have almost sorted out my paying method and i will be back on thursday friday and saturday at latest and btw i have a lvl 20 rng which i could sub but it will seriously gimp me
OK, heres the deal,,, the best jobs for promies are smn, whm (obviously), rng, and pld. In order to beat these with easy, best PT set up is 2 rng, 2 smn, whm, and pld. Dont sub rng, its useless. But u need at least one rng, cause of widescan. If you dont have those jobs, its kool, bring what you have, but dont go as some strange job like drg/whm (no offense to any of you) cause thats not gonna help, go as drg/thf or drg/war, u know. And trust me, if u have an alliance of 18 people, it helps, cause if some1 gets aggro, just kick its ***, and the MR's will go fast as well. Ohhh,, and also, buy a Re-raise earring for yourself, trust me!! For you wars that cant sub nin, and only have mnk or thf, use mnk or thf, but bring a G Axe, or G Sword, be creative. And also, crossbow's, Holy bolts and the bolts that give u HP help when the mages die. SMN's, get MP stuff, your 2 hr is the best thing for this. And if i remember right, for Mea, get posion potions, cause he likes to sleep people. I wont be on today, gotta run into Queens, so, dont know when i will get back.
P.S.
get people like me to help you, people who have done this before and are willing to get you through it. Better to have oldtimers then a PT full of people that dont know what to expect.

Just beat Promyvion-Vhazl with the following party setup:
NIN NIN SAM BLM RDM WHM
Oh look! No SMN or RNG or PLD! Wonder how that happened?!
IMO: Cookie-cutter parties have no imagination, no challenge, are boring, AND leave out some jobs that desperately need the CoP Missions. But, then again, an "oldtimer" would know that ;)
, take it or leave it.
(And, before anyone says Vhazl is different...It isn't. Memory Receptacles, strays (not just wanderer-type), same level mobs (DC - IT+), etc.)

I've also finished Promy's Mea, Dem and Holla. And I've partied with you, Maryjane. So I know how acclimated to FFXI you really are. And it's not so impressive as you seem to think. Not that it's bad that you're trying to be helpful...but you're attempting to present yourself as some sort of expert on CoP. And in fact...you insultingly give advice on subjob combinations that do or do not work. It's my belief that mentor-type advice and direction should be saved for those who have extensive experience and high level knowledge of Vana'diel. I'm not among those people, so I would never assume the position of authority you've claimed for yourself in this thread. Let these guys do their Promyvion runs. If you need validation for yourself, go have a pep-talk in a mirror. That's a good way to go about it.

Frankly, any job it seems, can be used in a Promvyion Run as long as it is a balanced setup, good teamwork AND, and trust me this is a big 'and', if each party member has animas ready to unleash on the boss.
Yes, I won't lie. It is nice to have three SMNs. It is nice to have a two war/nin tanks, and a RNG, but frankly they are all overrated. There is a difference to making things easier, and to what is really needed. These jobs aren't needed to beat promies at all. Animas - those are the key. Don't ever forget it. I once had a friend who done these a thousand times claim that a party of 6 bards could take down Prom-Holla if they all had animas, holy waters, and hipots. You get the picture?
