Okay people, what is everybody's opinions.
If you were to party as bst, what would you prefere there subjob to be?
Or, would you party with a bst?
Go ahead and express yourselves.
The reason I say this is, that now, it's slightly harder to level bst, and impossible in some areas.
Like my favorite place Bostaunieux Oubliette, no longer possible.
And some levels, are just pretty impossible unless your doing bombs.

I've never personally partied while playing BST. I know BST duos that are just killer. I was partied with five japanese players in Korroloka Tunnel a while back. We were all 21-22ish, and I was using my Mithra WHM/BLM. We had a Taru BST/WHM in the party who saved our rears a few times that night.

Honestly, I have no problem inviting a BST into my party, depending on the rest of the setup. I also have no problem with the idea of partying with my own BST, although I'd prefer BST/NIN. BST is by far the best Axe user, and dual-wielding them is awesome. I'll have to level my taru's NIN to sub for BST, especially for use in promyvions.

With that said, as good as BST/NIN can be, an experienced solo BST/WHM knows how to save rears by tossing cures at the right times, and can definitely help a WHM out in sticky situations. I know this from experience after doing 20+ BCNM20's (Wings of Fury).

I had plans to catch up to a friend of mine who is a BST so we could duo EXP. I think since the 'fix' I'll be better off that way.

BST/NIN > BST/WAR > BST/WHM

I've invited, and will continue to invite, BSTs to a party. As said previously, they have great skills in single handed axe and can make a formidable DD.

Yes a BST/WHM can throw in a cure here and there that might make for a last minute save, but if they're doing more damage, you're less likely to have that situation due to the shortened duration of the fights.

I had a static party with a Bst while leveling ym whm from 36-55. He was a great puller and DD. It was also very nice that he could handle mot linking problems for us very easily.

I used to invite Bst to my parties all the time Only thing that changed after this update was the fact that I took special notice to the jackasses and those that were troopers and stuck with the job. The jackasses will never get a party with me cause thier attitude is terrible and it is not productive to a party setting. The Troopers who stuck it out, good job, I'll help them out any day of the week. Wasn't too hard to go to the Beastmaster forums here and on KI and make my list. This may sound a bit harsh but reading what most of them said was just as much an assult on my eyes as that statement will be to them.

Hey Alii^^

It's been a minute... lol.

I've been on the last few days... but haven't seen ya; ; i'll have to bust a /sea all aliiyah!

Keeping in line with this thread: It appears that I've returned during some trying times for the BST community. But it's nice to hear that BSTs are starting to get some invites to PTs!! yay!

Although SE messed with Soloing a bit, it appears that they did the BST community a favor by stating that BST is a "party job," opening the door to party invites. VERY COOL.

But now I find myself xping NIN so i can have a PT subjob. A BST/WHM is gimpy in PT. It can work...but gimpy!

I love soloing, but momma didn't raise no fool... Seeing PT XP roll in will be a nice change of pace^-

LOL, I am so with that statement, but I was in the dunes and I seen some high levels pass me by and when I tried to see if they had food, A.K.A (Taco or Meat kabob maybe even sushi) cause I was missing alot in the Secret Beach area I hear a comment sorry we dont have much Food supply and BST isnt a PT job you shouldnt be in the dunes in a PT.

At first I agreed, but I dont see why if I took BST to 15 and got an invite to VD, why cant I XP like everyone else does? I dont want to take the soloing part of BST away but come on, BST gets Leave @ 35 b4 then Xp is a lil ******. Also I would like to ask, Why would it be a problem for me to solo and have my Flag up? I am doing my job of soloing, but a PT would bring Xp in a lil faster if ppl know what their job is...

Ps BST rocks and I cant wait to get it to 40<~>75. but I want SMN to 37<~>75 too so that it can /sub my WHM ^^

No worries man, there will always be people have have there opinions on how jobs are supposed to be played, but remember, the jobs can be varry diverse.

An example would be summoner. I've set up correctly, a smn can be one of the best dd's in the game. Also, It can be a great main healer too (just don't ask a pre 20 smn to be or you'll find out how valuable cure 2 is).

So play the job the best you can, and enjoy.

Now, I do say this, knowing how to solo as a bst is a great skill. I always enjoy being able to take out a nm 10 levels higher than me cause I know how. So, keep your skills sharp.
