Not to bother all of you, but Maiyah and I went along on an O-hat run tonight... to make a long story short we got MPK'd on her cluster, and, when I gave her mine, we wiped on the second try for her hat. I know its a long shot, but if we can get another cluster, is it at all possible for someone to let her come on their run? I'll be hoping to hear from somebody... Well, I've got a terribly disappointed kitten to console. Thanks to anyone who answers.

Why would someone MPK at Hakutaku ><? That sounds silly to me...

Doesnt it just? The GM asked me the same question. This red mage ran through our alliance, grabbed 2 Million Eyes, and then ran to the other side of the alliance and stood there, waiting for them to kill her.

Is the Red Mage someone knows in the alliance? Does any other people took Hakutaku after alliance wiped or just depopped?

It just sounds like someone in your alliance pissed that Red Mage and decide to do something personal. It certainly does not sound like an unintentional MPK.

It had occured to me that maybe it was a grudge against someone in the alliance. If it is, nobody is speaking up about it. Anyways, we bought a new cluster (/em dies.) from the bazaar of this 75 bst who showed up to help... fighting it now, wish us luck.

On another note, if anyone from the alliance reads this, thank you all so much for agreeing to step back in the order for her so she could go again straight off... I think we all want to see her in a hat at this point.

She got it :) I still want a hat, but its gonna have to wait a long while. Thats ok tho, she needed it, I just wanted it.

Good luck in Haku fight.

As future reference, if someone trained a small amount of mobs across camp, the best thing to do is have tank PT to hold the NM, while attacker PT to clear out the adds first instead of attacking the NM.

Also good to have 1 PT of extra people to clear adds (if you can find that). Hakutaku camp always have some adding as Million Eyes do repop after clearing out (I think 14 min repop timer).

BST actually are very good in mob control, so glad you get a BST to help this time.

I hope GM will take action to this MPKer. And to other players, if you do not like someone individually, take that just between you and the player you do not like. This is a game for fun, it is best not to take things too personally and just have fun, and hostile drama should be avoided.

Thanks for the advice, Amanada... We won and got her hat, and the GM said she's been sent to the Gaol, and if enough evidence is found she'll be banned.

I dont think they intentionally MPK'd us. I spoke with the RDM and she said she didnt intentionally MPK us. Maybe they just stupid! I raised the RDM so she could not have been in Jail? I doubt they had a grudge against anyone in the alliance, I know 75% of the ppl who were in the alliance, they would have said something.

However, if funny, I used to read bad stuff about Necrid on this forum... he had 3 clusters for sale, infact some of our alliance bought them after dieing. I dont know Necrid, this was the first time I party with him, sure enough it went strange. I have read nothing bad about necrid recently so I give benefit of the doubt.

Amanada, the problem with links on Haku was that we lost our STUN order. As soon as it broke down he would Firaga III us. Everyone fall down dead! We had three tanks so we should in theory have had enough to handle 2 links. One time we stuffed up because we let the Ninja tank, it didnt work. I remember shouting at Lenwe half way through to start tanking again. The problem was the Nin kept voking!! So we split hate and died.

Sounds like you have a very Dark Knight-heavy stun order.

Usually in fighting stronger NMs, it is best to have at least 3-4 Black Mages or Red Mage/Drk -- not to nuke, but to stun. If people are careful, you can still Stun the NM while engaged in another mob.

Hecteyes are hard to be slept with a Black Mage. So if a Bard is in the alliance, you can sleep the adds, and pick each add out one at time. Tonberries are the exact opposite...

A skillful group of 14-16 people can take the NM if everyone are careful and attentive. It sounds like the Red Mage may be there to farm Eyeballs him/herself... People need to work on being more careful in the future. To be able to make it to Haku camp and be so careless... time to work on basic skills in avoiding aggro and not training monsters around.

Add: A lot of people do not understand this:

If you are gonna die or accident aggro, just die in a spot can be raised! Do not train monsters around.
Why:
1) That causes unintentional-MPK and harrasses other players.
2) In Dynamis or BCs, that wastes time.

Another Add:
If a train went through camp... If possible move camp if you can. In Hakutaku's case, that is not possible, but that is possible in a lot of cases. You do not want the train with aggroing or linking monsters come back through your camp.
Also try not /heal when see aggro monsters training coming through, that may result in you get aggro.

I would rather be blunt... and give some advice out instead of making so-so noob, so-so idiot - type posts.....

Suggestions and solutions > Ranting.....

And death is over-rated... I die all the time in the game.

In exp pt, going to home point or taking R1 may actually better then waiting for long time for a Raise (Time wasted can be used for exping back the lost exp).

In BCs and Dynamis, play for the win is more important than "play" for minimum exp loss. By playing for the win, you actually reduce deaths (and hence exp loss) and drama -- say someone refuse to take R1 on orb user keep all item BC run, and then lose the orb... or someone train monsters through camp in Dynamis and wasted 30 min of time...

>< I am ranting.

During one of the fights, one of our DRKs (Name will not be mentioned, least not by me) went AFK during the fight. Says 'brb' and never comes back. He then dies and D/Cs never to be heard from again. We made it through, and the person who popped got their hat^^

I'd like to thank everyone yet again for helping me get my hat ; ; You all are wonderful
