Have any of you guys/gals disliked, hated or felt a job was useless before u have played it? I know its not a smart move and normally a new player would do it, i know i did it lol. Well do u find that after for some reason or not that u really like the job after u started leveling it lol? here are my stories...
I didnt like rdm. I thought rdm was for ppl that didnt know whether to be a war, blm or whm and couldnt decide. To me the job had those abilities of the three but were weak and inferior to them (lol I was new). I didnt start to see the potential of a rdm until I got PLed by one in Qufim lol. Still after being PLed by one I still didnt want to level one. I finally leveled it after i found that most of my jobs were in a SP and i had to keep waiting to level the jobs i wanted to level till the ppl from my SP got on. So i thought i would level level it in my time between SPs and i figured it wouldnt cost much. LOL I still didnt like it till level 30 or so. Now its 68 and i love it just not in xp partys now, it gets boring.
And there is Thf. Man if there was one job i had completely NO respect for it was thf. I thought they were completely useless in partys and a party without one was best (lol some of u may still think this). First I level my thf to 15 for TH. That had to be the job i hated leveling the most 1-15. Sorry to say but a thf pre 15 is only good for pulling and just about any melee job can do that pre 15 if not all. There is nothing u can add to a party pre 15 imo. So as soon as i hit 15 and the party was over i quit thf, lol i didnt even use SA once before the party ended. Then about 8 months later a couple friends started a level 15 SP up and thf was my only job near 15 so i said eh ok ill give it a shot (by then i had seen some amazing thfs plus i figured leveling thf would be cheap). So we begin and man i fell in love as soon as i started stealing hate from the tanks with SA at the start of battles (noob move i know but fun in early levels). Now i am leveling thf to 75. I have spent more money on thf then any other job. I have found that it doesnt matter what job u level if u want to be really good at it you will spend ALOT of money and time in it. Hmmm i think the proper word would be "sink" alot of time and money into it.
Lol the funny part is that both of these are my two highest jobs rdm68 and thf69
But yeah just sharing, u guys got any similar stories?
