So... Due to excessive negativity, time to have some laughs in the forums:

Last night the seemingly level 75 Amanada is walking around Valkrum Dunes and K. Highlands as big level 13 Warrior noob! OMG All these gobs, lizards, crabs, all incredibely tough. Wow o.O Suddenly, the Dunez and Highlands are like Shrine of Ru'Avitau or U. Range. O.o

Given up hope to find good exp in le Dunez, Amanada try to solo level 15. Got level 14 soloing, and things went fairly well until a lizard unleashed his breath on my after eating too much garlic.... Amanada was poisoned! 8 5 3 .... 0 ; ; OMG Level 75 Amanada transformed to a level 14 and getting pwned by a lizard!

Amanada was lucky that she is talking to her White Mage buddies at the same time. And Amanada got a raise! Weeeee~~ /kneel Elathia

Still Amanada got level 15 Warrior last night... A long noob walk starting from San D'Oria and ended in Bastok. Click on the moggle and the noob became back the White Mage and Bard heroine of Vana'Diel. o.O

Post your daily -- light hearted, funny, and original post of the day here!

LOL!

I went last night to try to finish the DRK quest. First try zoning into Beaudeaux as my able RDM, only to find no Cut Scene awaiting me. I tried again as my 16 WAR, thinking I might have to have the (truly awful) Chaosbringer equipped.

The two airship rides from Windy to Bastok were kind of strange. I was too lazy to mule over my WAR gear just for a quest. Seems I had committed quite a crime riding the airship naked save for a very big sword. Everyone kept examining me. I felt compelled to offer an explaination on both ships.

Getting a chocobo in Bastok made me a little uneasy. I was warned that because of my low lvl the ride would not last as long as normal, but they wouldn't tell me how long. But I am an Adventurer! I can take any hardship that comes my way.

As if Pashhow Marshlands weren't depressing enough as is. Rainy, dreary swampland inhabited by every unsavory beast that strikes fear into the hearts of adventurers. Now I am a naked lvl 16. As I rode my chocobo that may drop out from under me at any second, I start checking the mobs. Even the bunnies were T! Everything else was IT, IT+, or IT++. I passed by a crawler that could eat my low lvl Hume self in one bite.

I very nervously disembarked from my chocobo at the Beaudeaux zone and entered. No Cut Scene. I guess I have to kill more mobs with my {Too Weak} sword. You can bet I will be doing it outside of Windy, as the very first mob in Beaudeax was IT. Another safe bet would be that I will be lvlg my WAR soon. I have learned one can never have too many lvls.

Remember what I told you about that stupid sword, Nyru. LoL. It has to kill 100 mobs with a NORMAL attack. You can't finish the mob with a weapon skill or a ranged attack and have it count against the 100. I found this out the very hard way. <.<

I remember doing my Drk quest, I forget what level I was but I remember going immeadiately back to killing mobs to get the swords next mission. I then traveled to Gusgen Mines with Sword in habd as a War to fight the NM. Killed him, zoned a bunch of undead that aggro'd me. I got back outside the mines with the new sword in hand and wanted to test it. I found the nearest Ghost type mob and voked it. I then "drew" my sword which I couldn't equip since it turned to Drk only. I began the massive wiff fest that was War with no Hand-to-Hand Skill. Meanwhile, Marisol who was sitting next to me at the time was laughing the entire time, apparently she had foreseen my doom. :P I took my death quite well and promptly sold the sword upon my bloody return to Bastok.

Gah that DRK sword... I was trying do that DRK quest lately>< I hate the sword....

666 delay @.@ I think I did 45 monsters so far. Are you allowed to WS and pull with ranged weapon, and killed it with a normal blow and still counts toward that 100 monsters needed?

I just farmed with it for 2-3 hours, bees and such, went very smooth and I wasn't even thinking of the kills. I just farmed and when I was done farming, I went to Gusgen and finished it. Let me know, I can go in a help you own that thing considering you just said your war is only 14, lol.

Not exactly a funny story but It is still a very fond memory of mine. The Bladesingers vs The Preatorians in Ballista. Having Summons chase me across the entire Ghelsba zone. Thinking I was Fighting someone one on one only to have Leet "Raging Fist" me to the back of my head. Watching Samiex and Speck have the one on one fight that seemed to never end. Learning that Gravity doesn't do jack to someone sprinting. Learning Stoneskin, Blink and Utsesemi won't stop a Raging Fist to the back of the head. Learning Sprinting doesn't help you avoid a Raging Fist to the back of the head. Sprinting furthers your chances of getting Raging Fist to the back of the head. Learning that a rdm, no matter how cool they are, should never approach a Monk that has just defeated an opponet without using a weapon skill.... This means they will turn on you and proably kill you with Raging Fist.

and the best thing I learned: No matter how many times someone Raging Fist you to the back of your head, If you can Salute at the end, you will remain friends. ^^

"Determined site seeing party"
So just as I log in last night a friend of mine sends me a tell "come party as drk we need a 6th" So I get going and head to "citadel of hell" Our party set up is Nin/war-War/nin-Drk/war-Drk/war-Mnk/war and Whm/blm. We buff up and get going on our killing. After being there for about 20 mins we decide to move down near the banishing gate #1 due to the fact that there were 3 partys on the stairs already. We were there for 3 fights when this acid jelly comes up out of no where and whipes the party. So we all hp and I change to whm to tele us to altepa. We all travel to Raboa and grab us some chocobo's and head out to G-6 in eastern altepa "this was my bright idea" where we could kill the goblin traders pet spiders. This camp is by no means safe. We were able to get 2 or 3 fights in when a goblin digger pops in camp. We have 2 deaths nin and myself {drk} the rest zone. Every one comes back we get a raise and zoom were off again to xp. This goes on for about 20 more mins and lone behold our next casulty. The whm was resting and a cactar agro's him. He went off like a good soilder and died alone, Reraised and started to rest again. It was now night while he was resting and his weakened state wore off. Agro again by a lost soul now, Whm went down again. This time a pld that was killing manticores raised our whm. He gets full hp and mp and were off again to xp. This time while i'm pulling a spider a second gob spawns and agro's me. The mnk and I get killed and the rest zone into korukalu {*sp?} tunnel. We decide at this point that we should go back to killing beetles and dhalmels near the zone entrance. Whm raised us and we get going on xp at the normal camp. Now this is where we started to get the xp rolling. We went from 32-33 party to 34-36 in about 1-1/2 hrs. So now the dhalmes and beetles are not giving us any real good xp anymore. So off to raboa again we go to warp the party back to jeuno so we can travel to crawlers nest. We arrive in crawlers nest and bang out another hr of xp and the entire party ends up at 35-36.
The moral to my little journy last nite was that everyone had some fun. We all had positive attitudes about our misfortune earlier in the party but not 1 time did anyone say a negative thing. We all were really just having a good time. Our party went from Jeuno,to Citadell of hell, to Jeuno, to Raboa, to eastern altepa, to raboa, to jeuno, to crawlers nest. and we all gained 3 levels with a smile.

Nag, nag--yes I do remember. I just lost count as I have been going for my 100 here and there. I also didn't take into consideration the Bomb Toss and Final Sting being the killing blow. So much for farming bees with the silly thing....lol.

Got it done, so I now have the ability to access yet another job I will never use :D

Last night I tried to level bst... or play with bst rather. I died sooo many times last night. Actually, I think only four... but it was still very discouraging. My last death, I was on my way back in from qufim and got agro'd by a dancing weapon in that first room after you zone in from port. So I hp'd, grabbed my smn and went back for some revenge. I didn't even have Ifrit assault him, just Burning Strike right off the bat... BLAM! 95% of the weapons HP disappears.. I felt better and had to talk my smack to the dead weapon.

If a picture is worth a 1000 words, this should save you some reading time...

LoL Well I dont have stun yet. Something about leveling 37 levels for 1 spell is just retarded. This chainspell stun for 30 seconds better be worth it. =) "I know it will be"

Well, the other day I decided that i didnt want to party with anyone. And since most of my jobs are beyond easy soloing, I decided that i would lvl on my mule. Exit stage left Poombala!

So i decide i will go as my Black Mage on my mule Rosanna. I had no gear and didnt wanna buy any so i just went out with the Awesomely Sexy Swimsuit and my santa hat. As i always say, Style > Effectivenss. It has been awhile since i have done this so i try a bee. No problems! (Yay) so i kill til woot! Lvl 2! After a couple of hours. I find myself as a lvl 5 blm (no spells) and all lvl 1 armor. So i head on over to the "tougher" part of South gustaberg and start laying the beating on some worms with my newly aquired amazing WS wasp sting! So there i am fighting when a Goblin fisher decides it would rather have a kitten for dinner rather than fish. I died rather quickly.

So i went to my HP and the local AH to get myself Cure! I walk back out into S. Gusta with my newly found magical ability thinking. Well, the gob only whipped me cuz i didnt have magic. So i find the bugger fishing off the coast and having gotten 100% TP from the weak sauce tunnel worms. I proceed to attack. What i failed to realize is there was his friend on his way back from the bait store. A WS miss and a few spell interuptions later. Another KO by the gobs. To add insult to injury. Rosanna falls to lvl 4..... Needless to say a lvl 75 RDM named Poombala came back to haunt thier dreams ^^ I am currently lvl 8 blm and it has been a refreshing solo experience for me. Dunes here i come.... Again!

Well today in an xp party..

Elathia starts casting Aspir on the Chamber Beetle.
Yodie(WHM) starts casting something, Elathia isn't paying any attention as to what that is.

Elathia looks over an notices Yodie is still casting. Elathia thinks nothing of it.

Yodie casts Teleport-Holla
Yodie vanishes!

Okay, I've got one.

I went out to Ifrit's Cauldron for an attempt at mining there. I take the western entrance in, and see the outpost guard standing there with a San d'Orian flag swaying in the wind next to him.

So I think about it for a second. If I die out here (which isn't at all unreasonable, considering it was my first time there), I don't want to have to run forever and a day or get a tele-Yhoat to come back out here just to swing my pickaxe.

Set home point? {Yes, please.}

So I go in, and immediately die (forgetting that bombs aggro magic AND sight). I pop just outside in Yhoator, a lesson learned, and pat myself on the back for a good bit of foresight. I go back in, and learn, Ifrit's Cauldron sucks for mining. No more aggro for the night, though.

I run out, and realize - how the hell am I going to get back home? I'm out of oils and have one powder left - not enough to make it back to Yuhtunga. So I carefully make my way to the telepoint, and pull up my friend list to see if I can persuade someone to come out and save my happy ***. No one's on, so I log on the telepoint.

I log back on, and lo and behold, my 72 WHM friend is on, and not busy. She came out and yanked me out of there. So I go level THF. 31 THF, get an invite out to Western Altepa Desert. Party ends, I log for the night. I log on the next day, and see I'm in the desert. I run out to Rabao, and just throw on BLM main. /ma "Warp" <me>.

Yhoator Jungle? Oh man. And an angry gob with his dagger out, looking at me. Hoo boy.

So we have a dead BLM/NIN (I never switched my sub for the Warp... why would I? =P) in the middle of the jungle. Great. Thankfully, my 72 WHM friend is on again, and gracious enough to come out and save my idiotic *** yet again. ><;

Not one of my finest moments, I must say.

Okay...

I was going up against Ifrit Prime, just me and my trusty atomic squirrel sidekick of DOOOOOOOM. (And, actually, a half-formed party of high-levels was hanging around outside the protocrystal, waiting for their friends, and they cheered me on and buffed me. Very nice.)

The battle was going well. I had gotten off two searing lights, and Ifrit was hurting bad. The Grumblecakes will be mine! My bloodpact timer rolls over. Okay, time to put Ifrit back in his box. Ifrit kills Carby... okay, recast Carby. Carby lands on the ground.

Ifrit Prime readies Inferno.

You know, I don't think it was possible to actually experience the ".......oh, sh-" *BOOM* effect in an MMO, but that was exactly what went through my head. I turned and ran, and took Inferno in the back. But there was a moment of hesitation as I looked in my chat log, and actually processed what that meant. I was choked about losing to Ifrit, but it was still funny.

Another funny thing... my LS organized a clamming party on Purgonorgo Island after everyone got their Azimuth Circle swimsuits... while waiting for the Manaclipper:

http://skunkie.kicks-***.org/br/kaikupoke.png

I also lit my LS leader on fire while synthing with fire crystals in Bastok Markets. Fortunately the fountain was nearby. >.>;

My manaburn:

So we get to CN and were headed for the secret room, ok all good...
So were all there (o btw the set up is BLMx4 BRDx1 and WARx1)
except the WAR needs sneak so i run to wherehe is and I cast sneak....So far so good >.>

All of a sudden i get the message "time out reported bye server" for no reason. Ok i think, so i get back on and the server **** up my posistion, puts me right in the middle of the room w/ soldier crawlers and exorays, but b4 i could even see them on the chat log "The soldier Crawler hits Codyy for xxx damage"
"The Exoray hits Codyy for xxx damage" "The Exoray defeats codyy"

So that all happens b4 i can even type, or move or see... I get pissed as hell. Well BLM #2 tractors me to a whm and i get raise... meanwhile BLM #3 ran off looking for me, everyone is in the secret room but him.
"BLM#3: Hey guys, i think i went to far... I don't remember all these beetles..."
"Blm#'s1, 2, and 4, War, and BRD: NOOOOOOOOO!"
(i'll be #1 =P)
So he gets slaughtered, so i sneak up.. we have no means of invis, so i somehow get ot him w/o dieing.. Yay... I'm about to tractor and i get slaughtered... Luckily i wasnt as far in as him so BLM#2 comes to tractor me.... >.< get killed, while I'll JP friend who has no clue whats going on comes to cry over us and gets killed...
"BRD: d2 please?"
"Blm#1: No, come on were goona make this work"
"Blm#4: (HPs) <Party> <Disband> <Yes, Please>"
So, some how the rest of us get a raise. We get a NIN and he on his way through... and unfortunately... someone zoned a soldier crawler and a bunch of worker crawlers, hes on his way un-knowingly >.> and he gets killed, one of our Blm#2 was waiting there to sneak him he is JP so hes trying to get the message accross... to late.. Blm#2 dies...

Well, they got raise and we did ok but it was hell in the beggining... Thats my story, hope you enjoyed. ^^

Oh here we go....
back in the days when i was a half decent lvl (57-60ish) blm, i thought Valkurm Dunes was too weak, so i decide to help friend to camp EMP and omw there i go bored so i zone into the d00nz from the Highlands and decided to train a whole load of gobs omw to the spawn site. So i have a good 20-25gobs hot on my trail only to my surprise they were hitting me for about 20 O.o;

Y'all know whats coming up huh ^^;

so i get near to selbina zone and looked at my hp it was in the red {/Panic}

i Cure3 my *** and they start with the aga spells only i find that i keep getting interupted {/Panics harder}

i try to run for the selbina zone only i cant becoz i have soo many gobs surrounding me it was almost impossible to get out.

Heheh I have similar experience before in Horoto Ruins, but I didn't die... I trained like 30 gobs in there, and keep sleeping them for fun. But one gob managed to cast Silence.... and it landed -.- Took like a few minutes to wear, and all these level 10 gobs managed to hit me to red >.<
