I play about 2 hours a day....just enough time to exp if I get started right away. So I get a phone call last night while crafting, and go afk for five minutes. Come back and wouldnt you know it, first invite in a month, and even better, already full. Great 65 for another month.

To compound my frustration I have been getting disconnected for about an hour every night for the past week. Why am I still playing this game? Can anybody answer that for me.

I have one goal left, and that is to get Drk to 75. If any of you ever see me seeking and need a DD, please invite me. See the gear in my sig, not too many people will out damage me, but nobody seems to care.

It's all so frustrating....I came back because I needed closure, which to me was taking drk to 75. I skilled up my GS for a month, and was so excited when it capped, just to find myself right back where I started. 12k to spinning slash for over a month.

Sorry for the rant, I'm only writing this because I got booted again and can't play for yet another night.

Cheers.

Luc, I know it sucks - but we're all here to help you out. You know you can come to us if you ever need anything. I am unable to directly help with the leveling thing (seeing how my PLD is in a SP), but I'll recommend you to anyone that might invite you.

Heh, I'm in the same boat as you now, pretty much.

Being a DRG now, I'm just another DD in the LFG pool. Plus having one baaaaad string of parties doesn't put me in the best mood either. More than once have I almost given up. Buuuut...I won't. Maybe because I'm stubborn. *shrug* ;)

As for getting booted all the time, it isn't just you. I got booted right before I was going to go on a Phomiuna Aquaducts run...I was looking forward to getting it done, and hopefully my subligar (I want that BRD JSE for Aerani >_<!), but alas, it was not to be. (Grats on the win, if you guys read this :P)

Anyhoo, what it comes down to for me is finding little goals & amusement to keep myself going. Like working on bonecraft (finally hit 60), seeing and wandering through a zone I haven't seen yet, etc. DRG to 75 is a long-term goal, and I know I'm not going to make it there next week, but that's ok with me. Little steps~

Maybe one year I can PT with ya as DRG...I'll hit 60 before Christmas, I think. >_> Lack of SH is holding me back, I'm **** about my gear.

If you ever wanna go on a random adventure with me, /tell ;) I tend to wander a lot, and get lost...but I have fun doing it. :P

Let me know if you go on one of those random adventures. I'll go exploring from time to time. Of course, I never knew how fun it was before I had a good friend tell me about it~ ^^

I think I speak for all of us when I say, I miss the old days.

Aw, I know that feeling too well, Luc. Well, in my case, it's another story that I won't tell here... but it made me think about the same question: Why do I play?

A few days ago, I finally decided to "quit" Monk. Not forever though, I still love it, but I can't take it anymore at the moment. The last month, it's been more like "I have to" than "I want to". So now what? I've fallen in love with another job. It's very fun, and it brings back those feelings I once had. This is my answer to the question, but I'm afraid it doesn't help you much :/

Still wondering if I should post this or not, but I decided to, to show that there's hope no matter how bad it looks. Don't give up :)

Good luck, and see you ^^

Aghh...I feel ya, bro. I've been d/c'ing every twenty minutes for five days solid. I can't figure out what the hell's going on. Anyone have a clue?

Faere don't give up on monk just yet. Take a break then come back to it. It's insanely fun when you get in the upper levels and can kill and tank (yes I said tank) just about anything. LoL. Granted you can't take hits like a PLD, but if you keep your guard skill and eva up (you'll pull hate a lot so these should stay up there naturally) you'll be able to counter tank very well.

The damage we can do to end game mobs (pots and skeletons) is just amazing. :-b

Thanks LeetFade! And no, I'm not giving MNK up, never... just call it a vacation, it may take a month or two, but I'll be back for sure! ^^
