I have been noticing a trend lately plagueing the server and it is getting bad enough I have decided to post about it. I have noticed people talking down other players for improper acts or attitude. When confronted about these players with simple questions such as:
What did they do?
or..
What did they do to you?
Alot of them answer simply:
I heard from a person on my LS that they did (insert random act).
or..
A person on my Friends List said they did (insert random act).
Well let me be the first of many to tell you. If they didn't do it to you, you have no first hand experience with the situation. Chances are when you pass the misdeed along you are enhancing the story to make it sound better. Just like in first grade when teacher gave someone a sentence to pass along, by the time it got to the end of the line, the sentence had changed so drastically that it did even resemble the initial sentence. Therefore it is a good thing to stop the rumor, (yes, that is what they are) where it started and not propagate the word. Falsities cause too much discourse to the game that is already riddled with stress and pressure.
I can honestly say that I need to take some of my own medicine. I find myself blurting out random things that I have heard about people from others without looking into it myself. I am trying to remedy myself of this issue by talking to the people under the gun and finding out the other side to the story. It can be refreshing to find that some people just didn't understand each others issue and later they work things out. So I ask this of the respective members of the Alla community. Think before you speak and If you don't have any nice to say, keep it to yourself. Spreading the hate only leads to pushing people away from a community that is already dwiddling in numbers.

On a serious note, back when things with cetranne were running rampant, I told my LS what I knew of her. I didn't exaggerate, but I hadn't had a first hand experience. Then I sent her some /tells a couple times asking about how it's affected her and found she's not exactly a nice person as it is...

That kind of forum behavior is the main reason that I don't bother to come post here or at KI, I missed the days when you could come here and talk about what you needed help with or to answer another's cries for help. it's a shame that people find the time to be that way. we separating from what is supposed to be a fun and exciting game. there will always be bad apples in the bunch but most of the time comes to one's personal opinion, lets not judge people by hearsay, lets make this a better and enjoyable forum.

Leet - As much as this fits that mold, this was not brought on by that person's situation. This was brought on by random actions that I have seen happening on Cerberus as a whole.
Kyrin - I would be willing to discuss, at great Lengths, your comment. Since I can think of only two reasons you have to state such a comment. One of which was none of your concern and was amended by myself and that person with apologies given on both sides. The other which was a post from me on KI in regards to you. I would be happy to discuss this with you in private at great lengths since I have already spoken with Dia and Cata about it and they understood why. So, send a PM and we can talk.

DV - I am glad you posted, you and I were a perfect picture of this post at one time, I am glad we were able to get past our problems and become friends. ^^ Haven't seen you in a while though.
