I've dabbled with this fight a few times without using the BLM method. Just a good honest half hour beat down.
We always ran out of time, or rushed at the end and wiped to the elvaan (AKA SATAN). There are really only a few hard parts in this fight for a "normal" alliance.
1) The taru ark angel. He has to die in 10 seconds or less. When we tried this week we only had 1-2 blm so he lingered a bit too long. The taru spams AOE 500-800 dmg that also causes para and petrification. Melee simply do not work here.
2) Elvaan. She (yes its a she) constantly resets hate and is like the Zilart duke NM on steroids. Death personified.
3) Depending on the strat, your party may end up overloaded with tanks (since there are 7 opponents to worry about). This cuts your offensive output to a minimum.
The galka, mithra, and hume are all pushovers. Low defense, not bad evasion. Melee rip them appart. Just be careful, since the hume explodes >.< Mithra may charm a member of your party, but no biggie. And her tiger often despawns during the fight. Without the TT to worry about, a melee party can really pummel the crystal warriors.
Anyhow, my point is we never had an "ideal" party setup for this. It's extremely hard but a lot of fun. Expect to die a lot. But this is a fight where 5+ blm are an absolute must. The TT at the start has to die instantly or its all over.
Just a note, when we tried this we never used any 2 hr, because we wanted to do several repeat runs. With a few smn 2 hr you may be able to get some results. But trying this with only 1 or 2 blm just wasn't a good idea. It was like lemmings marching to their death, repeatedly, but we gave it an honest try ^^
The blm nerf is coming any day now, and AABC "divine might" is almost certainly on the chopping block due to the effortless 15+ blm solution. People have to start experimenting on winning it another way because these glory days wont last. Same goes for KS30 desert swarm and a few other fights.
I have no prob with blm banding together for results, but every strategy on the forums is currently in a rut where "throw blm at it till its dead" is the only proven method. I love blm, but we can't rely on them forever to do all the work for the rest of us. ^^
