Promy - Holla (Sept. 5, 2005 @ 9a.m. PST)Follow

ClanDestine had successful runs against Dem and Mea this past weekend and is now gearing up to take on Promy-Holla.

Should anyone, or group, wish to join us please post up so we can coordinate.

We will be bringing at least one full PT, but would like to see others join us for a full second PT.

We only ask that you come prepared with animas, knowledge and a great attitude^^.

Please remember that you can not buy Animas from the auction house. They are rare/ex memories from Promvy empty mobs. So you will have to farm them. You take them to the guy inside the Arch Duke's house and give it to you plus 2000 gil. He will syth an anima for you.

There are 3 different types, so you can bring up to 3 different animas per promvy since they are rare/ex. The more anima, the better. Take care to also observe the elements of the mobs and the element of the day you fight them. Our SMN did not realize that the Holla mob was ice-based and was using Astral Flow + Shiva... Ooops. We lost that round, plus my poison potion wore off on me so as the WHM I got slept and couldn't wake others.

Thanks for the offer of echo drops. I'll let the mages know, but not sure how much that will be needed (but it certainly never hurts).^^

The problems primarily arise from AOE sleep and curse. For which everyone should bring Poison potions and Holy water. Additionally, a few Hi-Potions should also be brought to HP full after curse removal so we don't tax our WHM's MP pool.

As far as sub job preference, which ever will dish out the most DPS using ranged. I presume THF/RNG for you, but you'd be the better judge of that.. I would defer this to the melee types as I'm certainly no expert as to melee ranged damage; ;.

As far as Animas, this link is the strategy we utilize. However, bringing other animas as well never hurts!! But we do recommend bringing Psycho and Hystero at the very minimum!

We use this strategy (thanks Vedder for digging this one up) as it allows for a great deal of flexibility in terms of PT make up.

We have yet to fail a Promy and don't plan on starting now.. haha.. so be prepared!

Holy Water is practically just the price of Light Crystals. If DRK can use holy bolts, THF should be able to also... but they can't ; ;

Also as stated before, if anyone wants medicines made (Holy water, Echo Drops, Poison Pots, hi pots) send me a /tell. I can help farm materials with you, or just bring me ingredients (Sage and Distilled water not necessary, crystals preferred) and I'll make them.

Our first fight went very badly. Nobody seemed to realize how close you have to be in order to use animas (right next to it) so we mis-timed them and ran out just as it started spamming Trinary drain (-250hp for you, +250hp for the mob is fun! >.>).

The second time went much better. Everyone's animas went off relatively on time (though Gallee, our WHM died ; ;), and at the end when it started attacking again we were worried about it starting to spam trinary attack. But a couple Eagle Eye shots ended that concern. We didn't even need any holy waters.
