Hi me and a friend named Gentlytaruu, want to make a manburn pt this friday August 5.

The pt will start at like 4pm and we wish to make it till midnight EST time.

I am a BLM 54 and she is 55, ill try to be 55 till friday, so pt would be like 54-56.

So we need 2 or 3 blm + rdm and or Brd. It's ok if its your first manaburn, but you must know what to do, especially if rdm or brd.

If interested, plz leave a post.

Tahnk you

PS it's my first time at this lv so i hear cap terrigan is good at our lv, if not then we will see a good camp all togheter.

PS2 If we need to cancel for any reason, ill come say it in the thread

I saw a party in kuftal the other day where a summoner was used in a mana burn party. 4 blm 1 rdm and 1 smn.
The smn pulled with carby and carby tanked while all 4 blm casted freeze. If that didnt kill it, the crabs were stunned and then the last slither of the crabs health was nuked away.

I asked them how much exp they got they said about 10k in 1 hour 45 mins, sounds good to me, so if your interested in doing that sorta thing I have a level 53 summoner (soon to be 54 I hope) that I can bring along

I still highly encourage Black Mages to join regular party to learn more about hate control. Yes BLM PT you can go all crazy etc, but hate control is a neccessary skill in this game in nearly all situtations.

i'm with amanada.

And look what these damn manaburns have done, Cetrannes now 67, because she made manaburn pt's.

These things teach you nothing about your job really.

Agreed with Amanada, being a blm myself i didn't start MBP's until i was lvl 57-60, i only started MBP's coz i got bored in normal parties, my advise, once u have confidence in the whole hate control/management thing, then u can try out MBP's.

I saw my first Manaburn party in Boyada Tree a few days ago and was very impressed with the rate that the party could clear a room.

I just had to laugh at the old school posts about "learning your job", etc. etc. I don't disagree with the comments. I have been soloing BST to 26 the last few weeks and refuse to look for a PL because I believe in learning your job (If that's what you enjoy and what is important to you). Everyone has different priorities and reasons for playing though. They pay their $13 every month just like I do, and as long as they're not MPKing me, I don't care what they do.

Bottom line is, RNG got nerfed so there is no more complaining about arrow burn parties. Watch out manaburn, you're the next target.

My appologies in regard to the OP and most everyone including myself being off-topic. (For what it's worth, I wish my BLM was higher than 37... I'd probably bring it along)

I did a pseudo manaburn pt in the dunes at level 10. That was funny as hell. We were getting around a level an hour. :-b

Usually in the 50's people have a general concept of PT tactics (usually LoL) so I don't have a problem there. I do think people shouldn't ONLY do these types of pts, but it is up to them. It seems like it gimps them as far as magical ability is concerned. I can't see how they can keep all magic types capped going through like that. I could very well be wrong though.

It definitely is fun to do stuff like this though which is why I do bone parties. Just lots of fun. LoL

No you're right Leet on all accounts.

1. They are load of fun! (as long as it doesn't turn into a pissing contest with all the blm's in the room)

2. You WILL quickly fall behind in enfeebling and dark magic skills.

I'm not even gonna touch on the hate control issue. And yes... Blm are next on the list for a nerfing. I was told about an article last night...i'll have to dig it up and post the link.

You learn about Hate control before level 50, if you're going to survive at all as a BLM that is. I don't really see how a manaburn PT will rub this from your memory. I think if you have 50-60 levels as a job and you don't "Learn your Job" then you should probably uninstall your game and rid the rest of us of your stupidity.

True that it wears down on your enfeebling magic and dark magic, but I have my enfeeb capped from my RDM, and dark isnt too hard to cap if you use drain and aspir every once in a while, my skill almost always goes up .4 or .5 when it does.

Anyone that has been in a manaburn PT(and I have been in quite a few) should know the flaws, and that (atleast up until lvl 70) manaburn pts make NO great amount of EXP, chain 5's are nice but I can get a chain 5 in a normal PT. I know this probably changes as you learn Blizzaga III, I mean it does major damage and cost less then Freeze to cast, a manaburn PT does exactly as it states, burns your mana, at lvl 50-70 you only have a majority of spells that can kill a mob as a group and they require a vast amount of mana.

BTW I only had a few manaburn PTs 50-60 and more 60+, I am not doubting that most of my lvl 70+ PTs will probably be manaburn, atleast-- Until they nerf it :3

I disagree with the non-blm mages up there in regards to manaburn PTs. I say go for it, and go for it all the way to 75. I think after 50 gruelling levels as a BLM, you've learned hate control and patience very well. Take advantage of what SE has given you and Freeze until you can freeze no more (in this case level 60 and Flare)... :)

As much as i loved manaburn pty's as a break from the norm... catching up my enfeebling <shudder> man i spent alot of time alone playing with things that wanted my blood. Still not an opportunity to miss out on because it really is a trip to see what you are truly capable of.
