Attention Players of Cerberus, A Petition to SEFollow

#1 Jul 21 2005 at 12:24 AM Rating: Default
I took the time to do some research, the petition is made out to "Yoichi Wada President and Representative Director SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD." I had to spend a lot of time figuring out who it should go to, needed the address of SE headquarters in Japan, phone numbers etc. This is a real petition with real concerns. If you're one of the people who think were making too big a deal about this, feel free not to sign, but I want this thread made available to the people who do care enough. Numbers make a difference, please take the time to sign, it does not take long at all.

You forgot to add in the crappy shield blocking system they came up with.

I'm sorry but I have to dis-agree on one part. There is nothing wrong with what emps lizzy and stroper drop now. If anything it will help the games econonmy. Because now instead of a new player havin to come up with 1 mil (which was a bogus price anywayz) to buy an emps pin which is needed for thf til optical hat they can now get them on there own without having to battle with gil sellers. And honestly have alot rng's even really tried out the nerf. SE did say it depends on the bow you use on the dmg u deal and the range for best dmg. Not to mention if drg's can survive the nerf that was done to them than so can rng. In no way am I saying rng's deserved the nerf nor am I downing on anyone for not liking it. I am just saying give it some time and see how it works since it has only been 24 hours since the update.

The prices of all items effected by that change on my server have at the very least doubled within hours of people logging back on from the update...I don't see how thats helping.

Yes pin boots and ring may have went up but u dont have to buy them now do you? Now u can camp em yourself and save that extra 500k to 1 mil since the new /ex or rare/ex items have the same stats as there originals. About the only reason prices are so high now is ppl are tryin to get rid of them while they can still make full price and/or profit. Then odds are them ppl will go get the new rare/ex ones. I would sell mine off right now but I don't like the fact I can not mule the new items.

RNG was too powerful anyway, I'm glad SE finally did something to make the jobs more fair, since I was getting sick and tired of a RNG PT busting in on a PT when we had our camp marked down in our search commet and start to kill every weapon in sight and not caring we were there.

And I dunno what you mean by all jobs suffer from this update, DRK/DRG/MNKs never got a lot of PTs (Well, MNKs did for KRT I suppose) if there was RNG LFG, all I can say is if your DMG is too weak, sub WAR instead of NIN.

And for the NM thing, that's another good reason why I agree with SE, since I was getting sick of people using packet sniffers/botters on mobs and making it impossible for other players to get the items, now at least with the update it's fair competition.

EDIT: Remember the first NIN nerf SE did by having a NIN loose all shadows from an AoE and how everyone cried about it? This is pretty much the same thing, just take some time to find a new strat.

Update gave us NPC's

Knocked RNG's down a notch so they at least seem human (Seriously, why would a bow and arrow do more damage to having a greataxe crack your skull open?)

Made NM's drop rare/ex items.

I like this update.

Honestly, internet petitions aren't worth much, since it's just pixels on a screen :(

Don't worry too much about the patch, people will adjust and everything will be okay :)

I had a party with a NIN and RNG yesterday. I don't see what the big deal is. The RNG missed a little more often and had to keep further away to do effective damage. The RNG still did good damage. More on par with other DDs but still good. The NIN didn't have any trouble tanking.

Both of these players were willing to experiment and adjust their play to make their job continue to be as effective as possible. So stop your complaining and go figure out how to deal with the changes. Neither NIN or RNG were nerfed to the point of being unusable.

I am glad to hear they brought down rngs some. It was very difficult to find a party as a smn with rngs in the area. Now possibly when I get back, I can lvl up my smn without soloing!!!

Yea, all of these damn Rangers have to stop their crying. Things were way too powerful for them, so whats wrong with having to actually play the job now??? Welcome to everyone else's FFXI.

I think the RNG update is great, this will cut the RNG population I think by about 50% and will seperate the good RNGs from the Bad or average ones. In the real Vana'diel, and as you get higher, you have to get better, while often RNG skill doesn't need to increase, only their pockets. As for the NIN nerf, I hope they come out if they want now as DDs, may NIN/BLM truely shine for all the NINs who don't like tanking. SE has opened so many new oppurtunities with this update, they have breathed new life into this game. I just hope some people look more on the bright side, instead of looking at some of the bad. Pessimists :p
