Hello everyone, its your friendly neighborhood Paladin. I just wanted to get the word out that Dynamis runs are done every week on Mondays. We plan to beat every city for access to the additional Dynamis areas. So far we've completed Jeuno.

Rules: Open to all! Dynamis Bastok Monday @ 8pm EST

1. 35k entry fee (Possibility of free runs)
2. You may only lot for AF or money items. Not both. If you lot AF you need to be the job you lot for. Example: A PLD cant lot for DRK AF2.
3. Only 70+ may lot AF drops. Relic items/weapons may be lotted by 65+. But you need to be the job you lot for. Example: A SMN cant lot for the relic sword.
4. We let currency drops fall. 100 byne bill is considered money item so those who are there for money items can lot for it. 2 100 byne bills dropped in Dynamis Jeuno this past Monday. Its worth is over 1mil in gil. And no, I didnt get it. (tear)

This is open to anyone 65+. Although we wont allow you to lot for AF2 if your below 70 its still a good bet to get into this. We will win every area. Having specific Dynamis completed will save you alot of headache. Believe me.. ;-;

Anywho, if your interested send a tell to Thak, Kaerith, Rewand, Sheath or Akemi on Monday. This coming monday we'll be going to Dynamis Bastok between 8:00pm - 8:30pm EST If any changes are made it will be made by the people listed above. Good hunting everyone. ^____^

Something you might want to try is to let people come along for free, and to give all of the currency drops to whoever pays for the run. That way nobody has to pay (makes things alot more simple) and the person who bought the hourglass makes a healthy profit on the currency.

Congrads on beating Jeuno. Bastok will be easier than Jeuno in a lot of ways. The true horror begins at Windurst X.x; I hope you good luck in Bastok.

Unless there are 100 dollar bill drops, chances are you will lose money. People that sponsers free Dynamis tend to have specific reasons to do that -- like to do weapon upgrade or piority lotting on certain AF2. Of course, the sponser gets all the ancient money with expectation of a net gil loss.

Everyone who are interested in Dynamis should check:
http://dca.eleventeenth.com/

Probably the most comprhensive Dynamis site in English -- run by a former well known Dynamis LS on a different server. (I actually talked to people on that server and Kittycat earned "herself" quite a well known reputation for Dynamis)

Dynamis Excitement!

Helpful general hints for Dynamis noobs!
1) Buy a Reraise Hairpin or Gorget!
2) Have a healthy exp buffer!
3) Be prepared to bite the dust! Me love eating dust!

HoE is trying to beat Windurst right now. And our leader will not go to another venue until Windurst is beaten. Let's hope t3h win this week! Darn Bird Man! You bite t3h dust!

For windurst its best to just take it easy. You have to be very careful about your pulls. Here is a map of the right path:

http://www.dynamislordhnmls.com/images/maps/windurst/windurst.gif

Use a suicide pull to get all the summoners away from the key NM2. The trick is to have enough BLM's that you can reliably sleep all of the incomming mobs.

Keep working at it and you will be ok!

Yes Windurst is a pain, some people will even say Windurst is harder than Glacier especially if you are new.

Of course HoE does not have the benefit of manpower -- only 20-25 people usually (we have done less than 20 people before o_O), and we are really weak in terms of number of tanks we have (like 2-3 usually). Last Windurst run (which we lost), we went with 1 tank for 2/3 of the fight, and managed to make it to the House of Heroes trigger NM, and then get owned by all the repops when try to pull a time statue. The allowance of an error is a lot less.

In our favor, HoE members tend to have above average gear (I am the only regular White Mage that does not have a Noble Tunic ; ;).

We managed to beat Jeuno and Bastok with only like 21-22 people. A lot of people say at least 25-30 people are needed for Windurst just for the clear.

Out of 4-5 Windurst runs, only 1 WHM AF2 drop, and no BRD AF2 drops there ><. And I lotted sub-100.

Ale!!!! I miss you. :X As you can tell Im doing lots of things in FFXI of late. Dynamis runs are as fun as you said they would be. Ive only personally been to two dynamis areas but Ive learned alot fairly quickly. -hugs ya-

Thankyou very Amanada, that site is extremely helpful. I was looking through some of the dynamis maps and can tell that the Dynamis Beaucedine will be a tough one to beat. I know everyone talks about Windurst being really hard. @.@# Im hoping we do well when we go. -takes in all your advice-

Exp buffer......gosh...lol I need to get a nice buffer before Monday. XD

Pebble, we meet at 5pm PST. Which means we'll go in at 5:30pm. So meet us in Bastok Markets on Monday. You cant miss the crowd. ^___^

I wouldnt mind doing this but Im not in charge of the runs. Maybe after weve won all the areas and do them again I'll personally do something like this. Cant speak for the others though. I'll find out whats up with free runs.

I hope Windurst goes easy on us when we get to it. @_@# Oh and I have to say Im really inspired by what you said Ho did. Only a very composed group can do that with those numbers. Im inspired. :D

Meh.. I've been on hiatus. I've had a lot of things going on IRL so I haven't had time to level. He's still at 67 for now. ><

Just as a heads up, we currently have 10-15 65+ members and my whole SP is comprised of BladeSingers. We could fill a decent chunk of the run if we're needed.

There are 3 typical way how Dynamis are paid for usually...
1) One sponsor/person/LS pays for the Hourglass, individual/LS takes all ancient money (HoE does it this way).
2) Pot Luck: Equally split among all people -- or a fix charge is needed for everyone (Probably the most common way for a Dynamis-only LS...)
3) LS pays for the run, ancient currency are randomly distrubuted... (3) is usually assocoiated LS with deep pockets or a fund (i.e. HNM LSs)

We pretty much stick with the fixed charge. But when or if we get more than enough people to go that we have enough for an extra hourglass is when we'll have a free run. ^^ I still want to throw a free run of my own someday. I know I'll probably have to for relic upgrades. I really really want to upgrade the relic sword. I know thats an ambitious statement and frankly I havent seen a single person with the relic sword upgraded all the way. @_@#

Spira, we would love to have you along. Unfortunately this Monday's unforseen scheduled maintenance will keep us from Dynamis this week. But the following Monday etc will be a go.

We made it really easy. No matter what Dynamis runs are always on Mondays server permitting. This will keep us from having schedule conflicts by sticking to this one day a week. It also helps people prepare well in advance and be ready for the run. I personally like that we go on Mondays. ^_^

So yeah, Dynamis Bastok will be held on Monday the 25th. /bow
