Ok, I must be missing something... what and where is the prime place for lvl 38-42 to lvl.
Normally with a tight party you can find an area where scoring 200 a kill is normal... but as soon as I hit 38 it was like pulling teeth to get any kind of XP over 130 unless you chain 3 or 4.
Am I missing something, or is this basically how its going to be for the rest of the game.
Lvled in Crawlers with Beetles, Scorps, Soldiers... 130/150 ball park.
Lvled in Gustav Tunnel.. same thing (but death rate was horrible)
Any suggestions.. or is this a welcome to higher lvl XP.

Gustav Tunnel is good. Make sure you use Barfira leveling there with the gobs. Stun if flies are trying AoE.

i did 37-40 on the beetles in CN, then 40-43 its Soldier Crawlers, then at 44 Quicksand Caves, Beetles again.
*edit* btw, 150~xp per ob is ok, just chain it up to 200+.
faster xp then taking 5 minutes on a 200xp mob, with alot of downtime and no xpchains.

How bad was the level gap? I had my SP in CN last night chaining beetles (level 40) and getting as high as 268exp. We've kept our pt very close EXP wise though. A 3 level gap will put you in the mid 100's, especially if the puller is the low lvl. Just something to watch.

Last night we had 2 incidents where a beetle popped in that hallway outside the beetle cave.
I believe your party was the one who saved our butts both times.

Yeah we were there last night and saved a link on a pt but it was a soldier crawler. I think we grabbed a beetle link one other time too but I never saw a Vincent. :-/ Hmm.. Anyways, I'm quick to help another PT, ONCE. If they stand their ground and fight the one, I'll help them again. :-) (can you tell I've been burnt helping other pts before?? LoL)
Yeah the only people I saw from other pts last night were Mystery (I'm still gonna steal your kote and gi) and Earman or something like that. Both respectful pts and we handled the pops well. Mystery you scared the crap out of our BLM a couple times with those friggin Scorps. LoL.

i dont know what you were fighting in gustav, but the gobs there give 180+ untill someone in your Pt is lv42. past lv35, it means alot more to be consistantly chaining mobs, then it does to get a full 200+ exp. the downtime of resting mp at that lvl outweight the ~40 exp difference over time.
soldiers cover a 10 lvl gap, some will be EM at lv38, and others will bt IT+ to a lv38. just make sure your lvl gap isnt too high, and deal with it untill lv45 when you can comfortably head to quicksands.
and lastly, it is possible to xp in the west altepa desert around lv40. although i havent partyed there myself, i know plenty of friends who have and claim 200+ xp, and iv declined several invitations to xp there while looking for promyvion partys. but since i havent been there yet, i cant tell you what mobs you xp on.
