Hi,
I would like to do a couple of BCNM 40 get a scroll of Erase for my WHM (and Phalanx for my RDM) and raise some gil (by selling extras.)
I'm looking for advice / suggestions / tips from people who have successfully done them.
What's a good party setup for those? Any BCNM better than then the other? etc.

i forgot to add, best dd setup is two rangers and a drk. but drk/ranger/and another dd works good too.
just in case ele seal silence doesn't work out. drk have stun at 40. and you will need it when it casts flood.
rdm for convert and healing melee, whm for healing bard and curagas.
bard is required for balgas dais.

My DRK got stun at 37. :-b Let me know if you need me! I've got a DRK at 40 and a MNK at 45. I would love to finally win one. :-/
You need a DRK for BCNM 40 Giddeus. Stun is absolutely neccessary to stop the bad *** black Mandy to cast Flood.

rng/nin rng/nin thf/nin = best DD period end of story
brd = MUST have
whm = should have
rdm = smn or blm can also do what rdm does just with less mp but if ur pt is good u wont be needing that much
thf acts like "tank" in beginning being the horder for mandra
thf pulls with SATA on rng with most def and vit
I hate having plds drks or anything dd (not hate hate them but just annoyed) when it takes anywhere from 2-4 vokes etc.. to get the damned mandra off me. Whereas the thf would normally succeed first SATA ^^

there plenty of combos, but you can't complain about a 7 minute record with a dark in the party. it was worked for me, with two rangers.
What's the usual rule for splittingt the drops in Orbs BCNMs?
Usually people just have one person sell all the loot to AH, and equally split the gil.

hey I'm a lvl 48 RNG/NIN. And I have a Set of gear that goes with BCNM 40 so I'm availible for BCNM anytime.
yep plenty of combos that will work but the idea is high damage and fast damage rng are amazing at this if ur going into bcnm with pld drk drg whm rdm brd be prepaired for some long as fighting and maybe getting kicked out of it ;;
