I tried static parties... and it's kinda messy accomodating everyone schedules. I prefer to keep a list of people to party with in my friendlist. (I wish it could be organized in categories and sorted within FFXI though).
At any rate... We partied once in Kuftal. If you want to party again just look me up (Balzac, BLM 53 at the moment :)
A good way to get good parties: team up with high ranking (6+) players. They usually know what they are doing.

I know its hard with statics, but its the bes there is when you get them to work.
I had one with my MNK, waiting a month, maybe more for everyone to get lv50, then after the first play, one disconnect, and the static is no more. Then i sold all my gear and started RDM, again, could play with the static people a few times, and now they left me. :(
Gonna see if i am able to get a static, or else i might start up another job ^^

heh, Looky here. Hi Sabo. It's been a long time but I still remember you. One of the best RDM I've ever had. =) Nice to see you again and hopefully see you around the game too (/wave)
My bard is lvl 51, i doubt I could static as I'm from UK so would mess up peoples schedules with the time difference but if you want a bard to party with send me a tell, i tend to be on about 19.00 - 23.45 GMT (14.00 - 18.45 EST) Weekdays and whenever I can on weekends
