Watch out kids! I have another idiot to report!Follow

Yep, there's another ****** running loose, and he's in the Crawler's Nest. He's a level 44 DRK/RDM (Dark Knight/Red Mage) TaruTaru, and he's named Dinggleberry. I had the displeasure of having a party with him, and through the entire experience, he was hateful as hell to me. Before I had joined his parties, I had experienced 4 deathes. The entire scene unfolded when another party was attacked by a Soldier Crawler and an Exoray. Half their team was dead, including their main tank. I just stood there and watch, why you ask? Because they were fighting in the LAGGIEST area in that hell hole, right beside the green lit area in the secret tunnel.

If that wasn't worse, I suffered a death with their team, because we pulled not one, but 3 Flies at once. I kept it under control, I almost busted a gasket, but I apologized and just kept it under wraps. 5 hours of gaming, only 2k of EXP, and I just got my level, only to level down again. Now fast forward about 3 hours later. He's keeping the 46 DRK Dannon that's sucking down the EXP to where we do flies or Exorays every 5 min, I say nothing, but it is annoying he won't move on to Quicksand Caves for the party.

At the end of this is when the **** really hit the fan. Our DRK Puller, Dannon, same guy that pulled the 3 flies, ends up grabbing 2 beetles, and we aren't at full power. I have dealt with these beetles before, and Dannon ran away trying to keep it from linking with the other. It didn't. In fact, I was the ONLY one who lived because I ran after Dannon after they were all shouting RUN RUN RUN. I waited outside, though supposedly I hear that the Dinggleberry is alive. I wait outside, healing, waiting for things to blow over, and I get booted. I return to find that my entire party is PISSED at me because I didn't stick around to die with them. I can get you names if you all like, but I'm rather sad they think I'm a hateful person because I'm cautious and don't want to die for a 6th time in a row. I'm a DRK, not a PLD!

How many dark knights were in this party? I counted 3 that were mentioned. Just sorta curious...

Lol. Funny thing is, a member in my LS, Drexil, had the LUCKY* oppurtunity of PT'ing with this guy. Said he was an absolute noob... But we're not here to down talk about anyone. Although the DRK/RDM combo should be posted under Jhunwung's Odd-job's post out there ^^;

There were 3 DRKs. Dannon, Myself, and Dinggleberry. We had a RDM, WHM, and a PLd, and I tell you, this PLD we had was the god of keeping hate. All three of us could Soul Eat and no hate would be stolen. I remember the party names now.

Bladewad PLD
Astraldenmar DRK
Dannon DRK
Dinggleberry DRK
Faygo RDM
Sylena WHM <--- I believe this was her name, I am NOT sure.

Oddly enough, I found out something during the entire course of this. Either someone is playing FFXI with Dinggleberry, or he plays his WHM so his DRK will get a party. That's right, Shayla was being played by him at times, and at other times, he said she was being played by someone else. No idea what was going on, gents.

Edit: Yes I did finish my PLD Flag, though I need to level my WHM so I can level up my cure spells, changed WHM in question to Sylena, not Shayla.

I'll have to watch out for this guy since he's around my level.

I've noticed that it's so not unusual to have 3 drks in a party... kinda makes it really hard for my lil monk for get into one. /sigh

Today I had the opportunity of joining this lovely PT after you left AstralEnmar. Dexil one of my LS memebers dragged me into it. I must say I really didn't find too much of a problem with Dinggleberry. But then again, I really wasn't play much attention to his playing either. we got exp at a decent rate like 4k+ for the hour or so we were together. So I really don't know what to say. I guess instead of bashing each other on the forum. Help each other out. Tell people what they are doing wrong so we can have a better game-playing environment.

Well swilly honey. I tried telling that insult of a human being that it wasn't me that 'stole' his kill, yet the blind *** fool walked 5 miles to his right and accused me, while the real theif had been before his god damn eyes. I first thought he mistook me for her (Some people are retards) and that he would say 'Sorry, wrong person'. But I expected too much.

I hate to extend this soap opera any further, but I just have to say a few words in defense of Dinggleberry's/our actions.

The root cause of the eventual boot went all the way back to the original bad pull with the three flies, and Astral's comments during and after the battle. As I recall, during the battle he was screaming at the white mage to cast teleport-dem. While teleport-dem might have saved our butts, I think the rest of us all agreed that the white mage was correct in denying his request. Long cast time aside, I don't think any of us thought the choco ride from Konschtat Highlands and loss of a decent camp would have benefitted the exp rate.

After the fight is when Astral really irked the party. He continued to berate the white mage for not casting teleport. To say "nearly blew a gasket" is a severe understatement. I don't remember the specifics of what was said, but I do remember it as being way over the line. The funny part was, the white mage wasn't at fault at all. It was just a bad pull plain and simple. Well, after he cooled down a little, I convinced Dingleberry not to boot him right then. (my mistake)

As the party went on, and Astral quickly regained his level, Dingleberry told me in /tells that the white mage, who was sitting next to him on another PC, was still pissed off at Astral for his temper tantrum, and he was looking for any excuse to boot him. And of course Astral obliged his wish.

The running from the double beetle pull was just the last straw. The only real problem I had with running in that situation was the fact that someone in our party called for help, and the party (sorry, can't remember the names) behind us kindly engaged the beetles. While I don't know if we would have been able to survive the fight with Astral's help, it is my personal belief that after somebody calls for help and gets it, you must stay and fight to the death. Running away would only put the other party at risk of dying with no chance of exp. Well anyways, after the beetles were dispatched(And yes Dingleberry did survive) Astral started bragging about how quickly he ran away when he saw the bad pull, and Dingleberry booted him. None of us were too upset about it. I don't understand why astral was either. If he was so upset about the make-up of the party, he should have been thrilled with the oppourtunity to find a better one.

As far as Dannon being a bad puller, well, he was. As he had stated many times during the course of the party. In fact he was begging for someone to take over the pulling duties (heheh, I said duties), and none of us volunteered. He was, however, an excellent dark. As I recall, we replaced Astral with a very good ranger to pull, and the exp rolled in.

About the story story with Dingleberry flipping out over a worm in the highlands, I can't say anything I wasn't there. All I can say is, he was really pleasant to party with in our exp party.

All in all, it was a rather memorable PT. I would party with anyone of the people mentioned here again, including Astral. You just gotta keep your temper under control, dude.

Sorry for the long and dull post.

Hmmm I wonder if I should even add to this since I was there. Yeah ok, I will.

We were the pt in front of the door in the secret room. Dingleberry was in the original party (and don't forget Sylena) with us and our first fight was sheer massacre. I have the pic showing everyone of us face down in the green slime. Sylena, the WHM casts cure. Just a thought. So we write it off and all come back. We kill a few mobs then all the sudden, poof, Sylena and Dinggleberry are gone. WTF? DC? No.... They logged. Didn't say a thing, just logged. So I call upon my 44WHM LS buddy and pick up another. Chain after chain after chain.

*Quick note* If you see Lantash (RDM), pick him up.. He's nuts!

I see Astral and Desta in a pt behind us, behind the door. I waved cuz I recognize them both from here. They chain 2 flies and one of my buddies says "I think they're in trouble". No hesitation our pt rushes in and engages a fly. "Desta casts Escape" WTF??? Our PT gets wiped again.

As I lay yet again face down in the ooze I think to myself, no way either of those two had anything to do with it. I sent a tell to Desta and he said the party was yelling for Escape. Personally, I hate dying, but mistakes happen and you fight them out. Especially when we yanked a Exoray off your aces and had to all 2hr to kill it. And when a pt runs back to pull a link off you, don't escape, you fight it out. Astral I had no intention of posting but man, if you were the one calling for escapes, that's BS. Our PT covered you and you left us out to dry. We saw the 3 flies go in later and you better believe we went and got a crawler. Dinggleberry came out asking for help, RIGHT! Once bitten, twice shy. And to the WHM that declined to Tele, kudos. Mad props for just sticking it out.

Astral man, anytime you're in a pt where you have to get irate, leave. Find another pt if they **** you off that bad. Don't get pissed and yell at people, that's not what this game is about.

I'm waiting for an opportunity to get that son of a *****. There's no way in hell I'll let it go that he gave me about 2 days of **** to clear with the GMS.

In response to your comment about the Paladin unable to keep hate, it should be a given that it would be hard for him - he has 3 DRK's to compete with, some of them probably using Soul Eater and such recklessly. Hell, if everyone was a red health and the WHM did a benediction, the monster would probably still not notice and keep pounding on one of the DRK's. I know the same thing happened to me with my WHM when I partied with 2 MNKs, 2 DRK's 1 THF and myself in Crawlers Nest. =O

Although my pt I had that night (after the Dinggleberry incident) was awesome. Of course 4 of them are LS members so I knew they knew their job. :-)

i've partied with dinggleberry before, and although he has had a rather sad history of lagging out half the time, overall he's an okay dude.

i'm semi-biased, maybe, cos i don't like people calling others names. mistakes are mistakes, and well, people potentially learn from them. if you dislike the PT that much, leave.

i got name-called today for dying as a PLD in crawler's nest. i disliked the idea of a PL, and thought that one death was enough reason to leave. the PT got a suitable-lvled whm right after, and i believe was kicking *** right as i logged. did i care? no. glad they got their PT going, but heck, i can always find my own.
