Botters on our server? Beware~Follow

I have my own lil' bot story. I spent 17hrs in Castle Oztroja trying to get trying to get the Kote's for a ls member. At several times there were no less then 3 ls members there to help. But... there were also a party of 6 JP/CN players hunting also. Now, they were fighting the NM on both sides of the castle. We finally got really fed up after about 12 hours and just sat there pounding on your "provoke" key. All to no avail. When the mob spawned, it would already be claimed. I was very pissed. I mean what the hell.. you cant even get items that you need unless you buy it from these gil sellers at the AH. It was the only time I have concidered quiting the game.

Some of our ls members have been discussing this, as it happens with a lot of NM's, and I would like to get your opinions.

What if this NEEDED items, like the armor and spells were made "rare ex" drops. Then the gil sellers could only drop them... Additionally, if it is a needed item.. the person that needs it would be high enough level to get it (usally with help) and be able to advance their job without having to farm the gil to buy the item.. or developing a bot themselves to out do the sellers.

I seen the CNs botting before

In Castle Oz. I was just messing around, and ran into them, what I noticed they were hunting the NM, then when a mob poped and attacked one of the CN, they did nothing, even when the WHM was getting hit, they didn't do anything untill one of the CNs attacked, can't remember who it was, but one of the WARs

Next morning I read about a bot that works like that, so much for chinese gil selling bot fishers

Man I miss 1 week of posts and I'm WAY behind. Well just to add a semi-positive note. I went up against Haierbaby in Davoi. Immediately I recognized the name (and his f'n wyvern. :-/) and thought bot. Great... To my surprise, I held a convo with him. Granted he didn't speak very good english but he wasn't botting. He actually was quite polite and even complimented my pulling a couple times. Now Samsang is another story. :-)

side note: how the heck did I get scholar?

Actually I think that's a pretty good idea. For all those inexcusable outrageous priced items in the AH. Keep the long *** spawn times...keep the low drop rates....that's enough of a challange as it is and that's fine with me. Having to deal with these (unfair) NM campers is not though. I care less about fishing bots...but I also wouldnt help them either.
