So, for all those who asked, and those who didn't...

Balzac pronunciation is more like the "Bal" from Baldur's Gate and "Zak" than "Balls sack". English is not my native language and I stupidly forgot how it would sound in English when I picked the name. I just wanted a French name for my San d'Orian character. I'm glad some people get a good laugh or a healthy chuckle out of it though.

Honoré de Balzac (1799-1850) was a French novelist. He is a classic in French litterature. For some more information:

I had a feeling you didn't intend your name to sound like "Ball sack" , although I have to admit,I thought it once or twice. Smiley: tongue . Interesting reasoning for the name though, I named my character this because it just sounded cool for a mithra. Smiley: cool

I never even thought your name sounded like ball sack. I don't slur letters much. Plus it helps when trying to pernounce a word. Anyway cool name origin.

I just assumed it was a variation of Belzedar. The real reason is just as cool.

lmao.. i used to be in a linkshell w/ balzac.. i was prolly the first one to make a connection to his name and a "ball sack".
People in the ls were telling these boring, not funny politcal jokes, so i just busted out w/ my balzac itches.

I doubt you were the first one. I had people comment on that way before I had my first pearl. Obviously it never bothered much or I would have recreated a new character with a different name when I was low level.

Hmm... I kinda feel bad now, cause I sat around one day with my mithra char (Shinmurasame) doing emotes such as /em slaps balzac, /em licks balzac, /em rubs balzac.....

You might remember it......

Stupid me.

Awwww Nuven, you know I'm just being silly. Balzac doesn't drool after anyone, he is way too proud :)

Blackarms, don't sweat it, I just blist people who I find is being annoying about it. That way they can keep themselves entertained without bothering me in the least. I clear the blist every now and then. ^^
