This forum and its linkshell, CerberusAlliance, has been a great resource for getting things together ... so I might as well post this here, as it isnt on my list of things to do right now ingame, but i will do soon if us forums users get something together ...
So anyway, I was wondering if anyone wanted to do Mission 5-1, the Final Seal. Its the mission where you go to FeiYin to replace the broken seal there. And its also the mission before fighting the Shadow Lord.
The fight is a lvl 50 cap, and this is where I run into my problem. See, back when a bunch of my friends were close to the 50s, we were rdy enough to go fight. But now as we all lvld deeper into the 50s, my friends had sold off their 50 or below equips. I didnt, so I guess I saved myself. Would anyone that can be equipped good enough for a lvl 50 cap and/or needs to do this mission like to schedule a day to do so??? Thanks ^^

I have already completed this mission. However I am always willing to help anyone in need. So if you want me to tag along and help you fight the skeletons give me a /tell. They are EXTREMELY easy. 1 main Skele, 4 others. When first entering the fight I was under the impression we had to kill all of them. Wrong I was, ignored the others slaughtered the main, done.

Hey everyone i'm new to the link. lol actually i got a pearl just last night =P, i'm a 53 smn/whm, and i jsut did the mission myself just recently... altho i still have yet to go back to bastok to finish it, but anyways, if u are in need of a smn hey i'm there, i know aerial armor and earthen ward are life savors to a party, or i can bring my 51 sam along for the ride as when i did the mission for myself. I dont know how much i will be on the link itself for i have another that is very preasious to me, and i dare not abandon it.

OK!! looks like we have a good PT going on here with the replies ... so lets get a date set ... what days are good for people?? If anything we can aim for this Saturday, Sept. 4th .... weekend are good days for most people, so Im just guessing ^^.

I find out this weeks schedule on Tuesday, but I'm available everyday by 6 PM MST.
I can't saturday 4, but sunday 5 works for me. (BLM 49, should be past 50 by sunday :)

I am on this mission as well but only lvl 44 atm. I dont know if I would be more of a burdon or help on the mission. I assume the date set would be for the seal not for the shadow lord fight. I am up for it but you guys can let me know if I am needed or if not I can do it with a few other friends later.
Ok, as of now Sunday will be the day to go instead of Saturday ^^. So far myself (RDM), Neera (THF) and Balzac (BLM) are commited to the day, so thats half of a PT. If a PLD friend of mine hits 50 soon, he may come along, so that can be our tank. I'll get in touch with you Maclean ingame, cuz its always a good idea to have another voker in the PT. That leaves 1 spot open, maybe we can pick up another DD or healer before then.
The best time for me would be past 9PM EST, which seems to be around the same time lots of people get online anyway.
Oh, and about the Shadowlord fight ... once we get this mission done, ill post another thread for it ... though we'll have to be closer to 60, or actually at that level, to stand a chance ...

If Maclean (WAR/NIN) join us, then he can blink tank. We will need a second voker for SATA and so he can refresh Utsusemi but we could do without PLD and WHM, so leaving two DD slots open.
If we get a PLD, then we will probably want a WHM to keep him alive.
To those who have already done that fight... any optimal combinaison? Any nasty AoE we should know about? Will we need the PLD Invincible or can we go with a blink tank? etc.

I just had another thought for the mission on Sunday.
In order to be prepared it would be awesome if everyone who will participate could have the Vahzl Crystal or obtain it till then for a muuuch shorter travel time ^^
Also I have been thinking about maybe finding a MNK which will make it a lot easier to take down Archlich.
As for strategy I have not researched it enough yet, but I do think we should concentrate on taking down Archlich as fast as possible without bothering too much with the other skeleton pops.
Even if we have deaths during battle - as long as Archlich dies -the mission will be successful.

Unfortunately we are going to be limited to a party of six.
But we might want to take a 7th member along with us for a possible raise after - in case the fight goes wrong.
Or take an alliance and just break up when we get there and fight one after the other since we might have more than 6 ppl interested in doing the mission on Sunday.

A DRG/WAR friend of mine may be interested in going along this Sunday, which can be the xtra voker we need ...
The main stradegy Ive heard of is taking out the Archlich ... so having more DDs would be good ... Ima keep searching ingame for any other people that will be interested.

Sunday sounds good for me, I already have the Vahzl crystal and will tell you what time I work on sunday if I do, but it won't be all day.
Ok on Sunday I'm off of work at 2 PM MST, which is 4 PM EST. I'll be ready to go.

The 5-1 fight is level 50. 5-2 is 60+

Hey, Im letting everyone know that we should meet up on Sunday around 8PM Eastern Time. We'll get the group together and then pick up anyone else that wants to come along that day.

I have a map of Fei'Yin, it's a Windy quest which has a bunch of prerequisite quests, nothing you can't get at the AH with some gil. Takes some time though to clear the prerequisite quests.
