You do realize that by getting a pl, you're ******** yourself and everyone else on the server in the long run. Considering you won't know how to play your job.
It's a bit sad to see these kind of posts. Honestly, I completely agree with InSearchof. If you're just a beginner at this game (seems like your >L18) you want to level on your own to experience the true meaning of this game. Dont' be spoiled by high lvl's powerlvl'ing your group until you've gained the high lvl on your own. That might sound a bit confusing, but what I mean is...get to that L40+ on your own. You save money, you gain the ultimate experience of FFXI and the gain the respect of other members. I've seen other people in PT's leave because they don't enjoy the no-challenge of having a PL'er around.
Oddly enough, I'm saying all this and yet its hippocritical towards what I'm doing. I've got an LS friend and RL friend who plays this game, both the same person. I wanted him to lvl up so bad, that I took the time out to pl him a lot of his lvl's, but now I'm trying not to PL him at all to prevent him from losing any experience. For god sakes, he's lvl 24-25 now and has only died like 4 times max during his lvl'ing process. Symptoms he's developed is that he hates travelling alone in un-charted territory and requests that I assist him to getting somewhere. He hates lvl'ing in new areas where he doesn't know where he's going, so he requests that I assist him. So I don't know if I'm being mean to him or whatever, but I refuse everytime now.
Maybe once he gets to a higher lvl and understands the concept of PT'ing well and starts another job, then I'll PL him...but until then I won't. And no one else should be PL'ing you, Zerai ... if your a beginner. Learn it on your own, thats just my 2 gil.

Do you mean 2k TOTAL for lv 19-20?
Cuz I'v seen ppl charge 10K per level no matter what level.
And Pling at that level will take a long time. You could farm 2k in like 10 minutes.

If (and that's a big if) I were PLing someone for gil, the rate would be whatever my farming/mining/fishing income for that time is.
Someone posted somwhere that PLing above 20 is kinda pointless. I would tend to agree with that, if you know your job and land/build a good party you will get c3-c4 reasonably easily and c5 won't be uncommon. The PLer won't really be able to help you go any further.
I have PLed some friends in the early levels of THF when it's a pain to get a PT, but once they have treasure hunter (+ sneak attack) they are just everyone's best friends :)
What bugs me more is the PLing through ranks and airship pass quests. That's how we end up with underlevelled sub, skillchain-less and food-less noob parties in Khazam. The developpers should hardcode something in Qufim zone not allowing you to leave the dread island until you have successfully participated in a few skillchains ^^

I agree with chinqlinq a bunch.. PLing is cheatig yourself out of the true meaning of this game... meeting friends... devoloping a bond... and gaining experiance... I'm sorry if you have to resort to trying to find a PL because your cheating yourself trying to think you can lvl 1-75 in a matter of days... especially with a PL... I will admit being a lvl 53 smn/whm yes i do alittle PL.. but not to random people.. i help my LS or my dear friends because they have all helped me in some way that i feel that i owe them the honor of help.. or if they lvling a low job in dunes we all know how hard it is there now... I will help.... but just trying to power lvl your way throw the game... there's no point... if your willing to just by-pass the whole point of this game by getting a PL... just quit.... there's no point of playing then... i'm not trying to be rude b/c i'm not like that but.... please dont cheat yourself.. have fun... enjoy the game to its fullest.. and try for a powerlevel
Oh for the ******* love altana, the godess of Vanadiel. At level 5-10 you have to pay almost 3k per level. Not only do people REFUSE to pl after level 20, that's like worth 10+ gil even if it's some bored son of a **** who needs 10k gil to be able to buy a lvl 129562497357 character. Even then NOBODY would pl for that cheap. Man that's just impossible. You might be a noob, but you're seriously offending me by playing on Cerberus. That really stains.

The white mages in Cerberus often offer for free or very cheap, like around 1.3k. But I've never paid less than 4k. And 90% of those who've power leveled me have ended up adding me to their friends list. You gotta be a lil bit more respectful to the power leveler.

im no noob im lvl 5+ of at least all the normal jobs and 3 of the advanced jobs im a lvl 31 rdm a lvl 11 drk and war a lvl 6 blm a lvl 9 whm a lvl 4 6 ranger a lvl 9 bst a lvl 18 (soon 19) dragoon all i really want is to lvl faster! lol
Power leveling takes longer. It all depends on what party you join. And power leveling will cost you a lot more.
The most hilarious part is that you pay 2k for ONE level betwean 18-20, but you pay 5k for 5 levels (25-30) which is 1k per level and also 10 times harder.

I don't think this really is legal but....... Get some black money over the internet and use that money to get your *** powerleveled. You'll need like 60 bundles of 10k's.

I have never been powerlvled on any job main/sub or otherwise. I just finished dieing 6 times going from lvl 43 to 44 seeing a post like this makes me sick. Earn your way dont be so lazy.

lol if your so serious about this, find the web site on the net, that you give your account to ppl and they will lvl if for you for so much real $$ for so many hrs. or they will actually powerlevel you for so much money lol, no joke i actually stumbled apon the site..

If you wanna lvl fast learn how to get experience ^^ PL is NOT fast even early on... i mean maybe maybe mabye from 1-9 it is faster...
