Arguing the validity of this list is pretty silly, in my opinion. You just need to know the context of the list. The reason this particular topic spirals out of control is that what was posted is just a list... which leaves it open to interpretation if you don't have the right context.

What is displayed on that site is a list of people that are registered or owned the 'official' version of the FFXIapp. It doesn't mean:

- they paid for it
- they used it (although a safe assumption would be that they did)
- there isn't a larger list of people using a 'cracked' version of the software!
- that this is the only bot/hack program available for FFXI!

If you want to argue validity of the list, or guess at the reasons for people buying this application, or whatever... then that's your own personal interpretation of the facts.

Wanna hear my interpretation? Well, I think the list is accurate. I think a high percentage of the people on the list used it. I also think if your name is NOT on the list, it doesn't make you innocent (Is KoN the only LS on the server that bots? Hmmm.) I also don't give a crap if people want to use a program to claim HNMs, etc... cause that's not my scene, but I do hope they all get caught and banned one day. :D

What does bother me would be people using tools like this to unfairly bot fish or monopolize money NMs (not that there are many left), and things like that. We all know how such exploits can impact the economy... and crap like that affects all of us in the form of inflation.

I think a high percentage of players that browse these forums (as opposed to others) are stand-up, reputable players... aside from any petty differences that may be had. As such, I'm appreciative that this list was made visible to people that might not have otherwise seen it. Now they have a better understanding of who to avoid if they so choose. I know for me personally, no one on this list will ever be welcome in any LS I lead or am heavily involved with.

P.S. - To the people that actually paid money for this... LOL @ you. How sad.

LOL I didnt know what FFXI APP was until now, thank you for the info I ll make sure to go purchase a copy. This is nothing but great publicity for Maury's bot.
