Now lets think about this, I have alot of rare/ex items I cant really hold onto and space is becoming a pain, we ask ourselves this question, who is to blame gil sellers or complainers?

So far I notice complaining has gave us, rare/ex on items, mpk rule which sucks, goblin bounty hunters taking up space in some good camps, what do you think? and who do you think is to blame? And tell me which part of the mpk rule sucks? Remember these are questions. I asked this before on all forums, but they dont like to hear opinions I guess.

Yes. Yes it does.

Let's take your Ra/Ex item idea. It cuts down on space, is harder to obtain, and in general screws up the economy. Looking at these draw-backs, I think I'd rather go back to the days of old.

Also, look at the RMT situation. Before this nonsensical Ra/Ex item tyrade, the RMT mainly stuck to their beastmen stronghold NMs and the lower HNM types, such as Roc, Simurgh, Serket, Bune, etc.

Personally, I'd rather go back to the old days. Competing with RMT at valuable NM/HNM camps, killing crabs and pugils on the beaches of valkurm (w/o a PL), and getting drops that benefit not only one person but a group of people, i.e. getting Strider Boots from Simurgh, selling and spliting the gil.

I agree on the rare/ex items thing, why they didnt start to ban gil sellers before they decided to change the items, is something I dont understand, that was like a money source hunting the NM and using the gil to craft and party for a while, now its farm crystals save bcnm seals, starve or beg for change (being sarcastic) haha, anyways wish they would bring at least that challenge back, I no longer feel like I can go out and compete vs someone, that was actually pretty fun.

banning Gil sellers is a thing , making them lose interest on an item is another , they could have like make r/e equips drop @ BCNMs ( the other way around from what we have now ) but that would kill non-r/e's price ( most of the time ).

loltaking space , if you no longer need them you can /toss them , they are taking space anyway!!! thus you dont need them anymore!!!! /toss and inv+1 {you can have this}!

@ least now when you camp LL for example and someone gat claim/drop you know that you will not see him again ( unless he didnt get drop/have frind needs that drop ), how many times you lose claim on an nm , ppl gat drop then camps again.

GBH i can agree with you about, it didnt solve anything really , gilsellers can have higher lvl char to kill it for them ( they could have like limited the # of fishing /hour or force ppl to rezone after ??# of fishing tries... idk )

mpk rule is fine @ least you dont have to wait 30-50 mins when some dumbass zone everything and his mother to zone.

yea but that was fun back in the day, especially in the jungles, 30 people dead at the zone cuz someone aggroed a gob and it came back and destroyed everything in its path. that was hot man lol i miss that ****.

i dont miss being logged on or mined on. lolapplegang. you can pretty much run freely in places and mine or log now all by yourself

it also sucks though because when i was on alexander server thats how i made my money. NMs like leaping lizzy and some woodworking. now i cant get those drops for money anymore. also i made money with synthing, which is harder to do now. i can synth status bolts all day for a profit, but whats the point when i list them at the going price of 3kish a stack only to have them sent back 3 days later cuz they r down to 2k a stack. its gotten good and bad at the same time. ive had to adjust on how i make money in this game, just glad i got thf to 75. it certainly helps

So I fail to see your point.

Asking simple questions, does not mean I was complaining.

Do I like some of the changes? The answer to that would probably be no.

I miss being terrified to go to Garbage ********* If you zoned in at the wrong time and there was a train of bats or beetles just waiting to kill the noob that wasn't paying attention to all the other noobs that were right outside the zone.

The monsters despawning has made this game to easy. It was fun running for your life and then getting pissed that the mobs were taking forever to get back where they came from. it was more real..if that makes sense. Now someone zones it and every party just keeps fighting.

I remember Garek (my brother) used to call that place "the train station"..lol

Really, all I don't like about the changes are the rare/ex items. But, not in the sense of just how they take up space. I mean, I'm a full-time NIN and MNK with RNG on the way up, and I still manage to find space for everything at the right times. What I honestly don't like about the rare/ex items, though, is the fact that they drop off of all the NMs that a lot of people, myself included, used to farm. I mean yeah, I have nearly all of the random rare/ex items now, but I'm not gonna' lie, I'd love to at least have the option to be a selfish little a-hole and keep getting those claims and selling those drops after I've got what I wanted. lol

But what can ya do. It was possible to outclaim gilsellers, it's always been more than do-able. People just whined about it wayy too much. A severe lack of competence, and effort as well, is all there is to blame for the rare/ex items. And no, I don't want to hear about how you camped Mee Deggi or Argus or... whatever, for a month straight and only got one claim and no drop... 'cause if that's the case, sorry, but you suck lol

And yah, it wouldn't have been the greatest idea to have them make an attempt to ban gilsellers. I know of two friends whose characters have been banned for suspected RMT, one of which took this hit mainly due to the fact that he was Korean. And yeah, I am one hundred percent positive neither of them were. I'd put my character down on it.

And as far as the MPK patch goes... lol, I don't even know what changes they made to it, outside of mobs de-popping at zones. I've never bothered trying to MPK anyone on here :x

I tried to mpk you while you were sitting on your *** in Whitegate with your flag up looking for a party when I needed your up and coming rng, but you were too busy having a circle jerk with jellybean and not answering your tells. I tried to convince my carbuncle to attack you but he said no, probably cause I don't have SMN unlocked and all I have is the stoopid ruby...lol

You should become a mercenary and charge noobs who want leaping boots...etc. Party up, get the gil upfront, get the drop live happily ever after.

Complaining was very bad for this game. Square-Enix has always been accused of ignoring their fans, by their fans, when their fans didn't get what they thought they wanted. The end result is the current state of FFXI. Gilsellers are being banned in mass, which now results in a lot of complaining about the crashing economy. Certain jobs were nerfed so that other jobs would have more of a chance to be invited, which resulted in other jobs being invited less and more people clamoring to be the same jobs all the time. It removed one of the few sticking points of this game. The ability to be any and all jobs on the same character is a big selling point for this game (at least it was for me). Now that everyone has decided to pick up the same jobs, it removes the originality and fuction of the party system. Rare/ex items aren't as big a problem as it seems. It validates people that like to be called "NM hunters". But in that process, it removed a lot of people's chance to make gil. Remember the original complaint about NMs? When that complaint was addressed, it opened the floodgates for gilsellers. . . Which then opened the floodgates for noob players with high lvl jobs or tons of gil overnight. That opened the floodgates for said noob players to complain about gilsellers (same sellers that gave them their high lvl jobs and tons of gil) taking everything from them. Those complaints were addressed eventually, and now we're losing gilsellers, gil, items, and honest players that get caught in the gilseller fishnet.

Agreed.

Oh, and by the way, who saw that thing on PoL about 2.6 billion gil being removed from circulation when all the accounts were banned? haha, I've never really read those little messages on there and was pretty surprised at just what happens when accounts get wiped out in mass like that.
