Anyone doing Fenrir? Possibly Friday?Follow

Before I left, our LS had a mission to try to beat Fenrir. We only suceeded once (on the day I didn't come) and 8 tries afterwards all failed.

If anyone is going to try him and need a WHM let me know, I really want that puppy :)

Gonna solo him for me? >.> I don't even know what we would need for it honestly, we had Kpp as PLD/NIN and Tshay backup tanking as THF/NIN and we'd get him down to 25% and all hell would break loose.

You definitely can't solo Fenrir, he hits way too hard and fast compared to the other primes XD

I went 1/2 on that fight with PLD/WHM/RDM/MNK/DRG/SAM, I think it was. No NIN, no BLM, no SMN... some people called that a gimp setup, so I'm pretty proud of winning it that way XD

Pretty normal fight until Fen reaches the 60% mark. Get the mages to run WAY back, and have PLD fire Invincible if you have one. Watch for all the melees' HP to drop dramatically (that would be the 2hr, Howling Moon). At this point run in there and Benediction. If you have a PLD you may live, otherwise I would expect to die at this point. (Even if you have Reraise up I would remain dead at this point until you've left the BC, but chances are it's been Dispelled.) Everyone else should fire 2hrs at this point and get the darn thing killed. RDM should Chainspell Blizzard 3, it works surprisingly well here. I got the killing blow as RDM this way, each nuke landed unresisted :D


Our PLD was /WAR, as well, if that matters any.

So we have a SMN, BLM, and me the WHM. Need a tank and some other DD's now? I guess we'll see what we can put together, maybe one of our resident PLD's would like to come? Everyone's probably doing LS stuff Friday night but we can see.
