O.o;; Seriously?

Hmm... In my opinion I thought Yurika or whatever her name is would be the first on our server with it... I know for a fact she has full WHM, PLD, DRG, SMN relic armor and I could of sworn I saw her as a 75 BLM yesterday lol.

CONGRATULATIONS

That is a big accomplishment, and it is well deserved. Not to spoil the fun, but I saw a Jp player with it a while back. Prolly doesn't play anymore so best to assume Minidragon is in fact the only person with it right now. Plus, were not counting the Japanese...hahah just kidding.

well, it is hard to see if it can be called a "achievement". He beat Maat with all his jobs but that seem more like someone who had too much free time(or has been playing for a looooooong time).

But yeah... Congratulation on the fine test of patience!

QFT

Finally someone realizes that it's kind of sad how much time had to go into this rather than just "congratulations" xD

Dont be some haters.Thats all I'm hearing is people hating.

Just because you will never be able to devote that much time doesnt mean minidragon doesnt have a life. You guys probably play just as much as she does, she just probably happens to have a dedication.

Althought I feel the whole Maat's Cap is a tad bit like most "Beat the whole game and then you get another random piece of gear to beat the game again with". In that its completely useless...going with that many jobs thru the same random stuff and exp party after exp party...gil spent on gear, armor, magic...i'd be sick of playing. REAL sick of playing.

But congrats none the less.

I'm wondering... do you need to defeat Maat with:
  • a. the 6 basic jobs (if you never unlocked an advanced job, there's only 6)
  • b. any 6 jobs (some might use an advanced job as main)
  • c. any 15 jobs (currently, that's ALL jobs)

  • I'm guessing it's b., especially since with ToAU, there will be 18 jobs... imagine a Maat's Cap +1 (12 jobs) and Maat's Cap +2(18 jobs)? It's also doable if you're dedicated...

Answer c. means that if you play 40 hours a week, 50 weeks a year, for 3 years, you will have 400 hours for each job to get in the 66-75 range. Is it possible to beat Maat on any job within 10 weeks?

I was in a party with him on my mnk and we were getting chain 18-25 off of crawlers in boyhada. About 150 exp with no chain at level 54. He is one of the best pullers and party leaders IMO.

Congrats, on getting the cap. I agree that the cap it not very good but he also has almost every job in the game at level 75 now. That alone is worth props. If it was a group of people that teamed up to get it, more power to'em. Getting friends like that to play the game together on the same account for the same goal, thats a cool idea.

I think it's great and a total accomplishment and I completely admire that, but I know I couldn't or wouldn't want to do that for myself.

I'm weird but sometimes it's a blast to be weak and under constant aggro in a low level job. You also get to meet a lot of fun and new people. I really do like the freshness of doing something completely different and new to me. That's sort of why I haven't taken anything to 75, I'm a slacker, LOL.

I suppose when the new jobs come out, Mini will be right there to take them to the top. ^^

Never seen this JP? He/She has been sitting in Port Jeuno pretty much since they got the Cap, go take a look.

And about the being a 'prick' thing, I don't intend to get into it much or flame or anything, but you have to realize how much time it would have taken (even over 3 years since NA release) it would have taken to get that far.

Once you finish the Maat's Cap quest it should say "Go Outside!"

But to get the Maat's Cap you need to get every job (all 15) to at least 66 and beat Maat with that job, at least I believe that's how it's accomplished, then you have some misc. quest that you get from Maat.

Minidragon is in my friendlist. To be honest, he/she plays a lot less time than most of HNM LS people in this game since he/she doesn't go for sky/hnm camp anymore like who knows how long ago.For awhile i thought he/she already quited the game. Well... Atleast i rarely see he/she online in NA prime time for the last couple months.

I once lvled a job from lv40ish-60ish, over 20 levels in about 4 weeks more or less. The best PT i did back then i think was 36k exp in 3 hours. To be honest, 10k exp per hour is just average rate for some people, And i didn't even have the loxory to get "chain 18-25", just chain 5 none stop. If you know how to form a good PT that is make for the camp and monsters you already decided to exp on, it's very fast exp. And I am not talking about bringing 3 thieves and a dragoon tank to a skeleton camp. . . Also try to discover new exp camps instead of going to pupular ones.

Not trying to flame you, but sometimes your personal experience doesn't make it a fact. I am just trying to explain to you that your assumption is incorrect. I do understand that first lv 75 job takes longest to get though.

(Also 36k exp in 3 hours isn't my average exp rate. I wish that was my average exp rate. What can i say, i sucked.)

Doesn't always have to do with 'knowing' how to form a good party. Plenty of people know that, but frankly there aren't always enough people seeking, or even the right jobs. Not to mention when you get all the right jobs people take forever (getting gear from mules, buying gear, buying items, getting ready in general), then people go afk, you can get to camp and all the camps are taken even after /t parties in the area if there are spots open, parties could have gotten there after you asked and before you arrived, all camps in lots of places could be packed, your party members could just suck, or get pissed because their not getting the xp they wanted.
Let me tell you, that as a paladin, a job that tanks, and 'should' be in high demand even with ninjas being able to tank also, I have had the ******** luck with parties, not once, not twice, but for over two years. For over 2 years I have tried to xp, and parties more often than not, didn't break up because I was a sucky tank (tho I'm not going to lie, I've had parties break up because they said I sucked at tanking), but more often than not, people were just too picky and I ALWAYS happened to be in that type of party. Over 2 years playing this game and I am still level 51 paladin.

well, Pld is kinda of a special case for leveling speed as there seem to be somesort of social stigma attached to us of which lazy mages often say: "omg!Pld take too much damage! he'll cause downtime! Get a Nin or else!"

Of course, its better to hold back about that as this is certainly not a "Tank vs Tank:who's better" that could end up into a 17 page ******** session.

    Congrats to Mini!

And just because I can't help but stir the pot/throw alcohol on the fire here...PLD tank = /hurray NIN tank = umm..ok, but btw...NIN was *never* designed to be main tank to begin with!! Either way, so long as the pt kills stuff and nobody dies on a regular basis, it works for me. *runs away from all the 'OMFGSTFUNOOB' soap-boxers who will surely crawl out of the woodwork to dispute the pld vs. nin Smiley: deadhorse*

You have to give props to mini, anyone hating on him more than likely just wishes they had the hat too for one, for two it doesnt take that long to get a job to 66, three, when I lvl'd with mini he had a 73 brd mule he'd sub in for songs between pulls which skewed experience in our favor, the guy knows what he's doing plain and simple, but considering this game has been out for like 3 years now, thats an average of 2-3 months per job for 66 lvls, easily doable if you have decent play time, dont worry about farming, and make your own parties, which mini did.

Keep it logical and stereotypical tho! hahahah
