Well, here I am your friendly neighboghood Jaden. I'm here to make a plea to all the ninjas on the bismarck server.

Refuse to buy Utsusemi!!!!

I know what you are thinking right now... "omgz we can't do that!!" Well you know what, with Utsusemi: Ichi now over a million gil, and Ni is what 2 million or something, make a stand. Don't buy it! Quest it, BCNM it... don't buy it. We have to make a stand somewhere. People are raising the price of things that are NEEDED for that job.. I mean christ, look at the cost of tools. I feel so bad for you guys!

I have a lvl 30 nin, and you know what I'm not playing it anymore.. not until prices on this stuff go down. It's simply ridiculous. This is getting stupid. Look at all the people that are quitting, a lot of it has to do with Gil.

You think the price of sole sushi is insane? Blame it on the people camping the Guild shop of Rice, then selling it for 30-40k. Black sole is now 70k, so add that together, no even including the other ingredients, that is up to 110k for 2 stacks.. IF you can synth it without breaks. It isn't the cooks.

Please guys.. I'm begging you.. make a stand!

I agree with Jaden.

People are getting out of control. the price was bad enough that people were taking advantage of the ways to obtain it that they were selling it for 500-800k. but now the cost has doubled/tripled..and for what? a players greed???

BCNM it, Quest it... It's not as hard as you think to get the fame level for the quest. Also there are 5 other scrolls that you can quest for that you will need at some point.

People have been raising the prices of everything over the last few months. And whats worse is its not like they are slowly raising it. Its a sky rocket jump...

I mean lets get real here this is only a game. How much gil do you really need??? ITS FAKE!!! stop letting people price gouge the AH and sell **** at high prices.. I mean look what happened to those guys that tried to bring the price of SH down. At least they did something about it.

More than likely the people who are buying :Ichi DID quest it, and sold it off a year ago for 100k or something like that... (like me, which is why I did them again on my mule for my upcoming nin job). But yeah, paying prices like that for semi easily obtainable items is insanity.

I admire what you're saying here but in reality SE needs to step in and do something to curb the inflation. ie... target gil sellers and buyers. Inflation is natural...but not like *that*.

Also with the tools, again, it's the cost of ingredients. Not just the crafters being greedy asses. Have you seen Beastman blood lately? 120k'ish for a stack. That makes for some damn expensive Jusatsu.

For all the nin's that started out as other poor jobs I could not agree more with the idea of the first poster. Make a mule in windy trade tons of fish get the 3 expensive scrolls for windy, take a look at teleport-mea; aspir; and warp2,this one requires the same friend with tractor that you will need to pull you to norg since you have to tractor to fei-yen. Next run to bastok trade tons of zinc ore. Follow this up with calling in favors from high lvl friends to get you keys to kazzam. Use the power of promised gil to get a friend with tractor to pull your dead lvl 1 mule to norg once you have the fame and get your few quests done. Its really simple and requires about 15 hrs of work. If you dont have a job thats vital to the worms turn BCNM do the lvl 40 one with the jellies that requires 3 ppl. Its not a good percentage drop for the scroll but are any really? It takes 5 min and it appears tobe the easiest bcnm ever. I did it as a 40 whm/smn with a drg/war and war/nin. Out of 9 runs total we got 2 ni's and tons of useless crap. Just remember everything on the AH came from somewhere else in the game. You should not have to quit a job that you like playing just because some *** hat wants to take advantage of your lazyness.

There really is nothing SE can do about this.. except for maybe set it up where certain items can only be sold for a certain amount of gil.. The problem is everyday players doing things like questing Ichi/Ni and selling it for outragious prices is due to greed, and because of that they are giving gilsellers the customers they need to survive.

Think about it.

If I sell Ni for 2.8mil and here you are an up coming Nin. You don't want to BCNM for it so you buy gil to buy Ni. was it the gilsellers fault? No. did they drive up the price? No, I did. I just forced an everyday player like myself to have to go buy the gil for a scroll his job would need.

look at the AH sometime.. You will notice that the costs for spells have gone up over time. I bet you it's only a matter of time before things like Erase follow..
At the same time it's also the mentallity of players that if you don't have a SH or SH+1 your gimped. OMFGYOUN00B you don't have a hauby+1!!! your gimped! I mean WTF!! Gear is good and all but you don't need to get these 15mil gil body armor. IMHO it's Player>Sub>Gear.

I mean how the hell can you say I'm gimped cause I don't have a SH+1 but yet you invite a 58War/15Nin because he has a SH+1.. And yeah I have seen that.

BCNM for it. People shouldn't have to lower the price on an item just because YOU want to level Ninja. What's the point of doing BCNMs then? "Sorry guys, I'd love to go make gil but Alla crybabies think I should just waste my seals and sell for low prices!" And for the Ichi spell, it's your own damn fault IF YOU WERE GREEDY like a year ago and sold it. It's not like it wasn't hard for people to get back then either. I remember many people crying that it was 500k.

Yes the inflation is dumb and it's because of dumb people. But for items like these it's not the same. It's stupid if I put up Ochiudo's Kote for 9.2 and it sells next day for 9.7(really happened.) But it's not stupid for quested + bcnm items to rise because for some people that is how they make their gil, and need them to rise to buy their other items.

Jaden don't hurt the people doing BCNM's. You are forgetting that everything else is expensive, and it is alot easier to make 3mil than it used to be.

I agree with you about Ichi though. Make a mule and do it.

Exactly how the hell am I hurting people doing BCNMs by asking that people that want to be NINs, do the BCNMs for it instead of buying it off the AH for triple what it used to be? Other people can still do it? Hell, just by me asking for people to do this.. means absolutley nothing. People will do as they will, I cannot change that.

I believe he meant that the people that may be hurt would be the people that have routinely done this BCNM to get the scroll and sell it as a way to make gil.

And truthfully I can see his point. If he was selling the scroll for 500K for 6 months and then the price jumped to 1mil, then would you expect him to continue listing it at 500K? I can't/wouldn't expect him to do that. It is unfortunate that the economy, which was largely untouched by other problems that plagued other servers, has finally caught up inflation wise and expense wise.

And on a side note to all the millions of 'I'm quitting because this game's economy is ******* threads...I frown on the people that say they are quitting. Play the game. You don't need the best armor in the game to enjoy it. Do you need the best car in the world to enjoy driving? Do you live in the best and biggest house in the world just to enjoy living? C'mon guys this is business...big business. SE will eventually do something if they see thousands of ppl quitting. They don't want to lose money on this deal. And they won't. And of course there will always be gil buyers and sellers. If there is a demand then there must be a supply. Plain and simple. Just like everything in life...stop complaining if you don't like it and go play somewhere else. No one likes the ****** complaining kid in the schoolyard. No one wants to play with him either.

This isnt directed to Jaden who is my friend or to any other specific person. It is a general statement to all the recent complaints and the general attitude one sees standing in lower jeuno.

I've got to say, there are some advantages to being a Paladin vs. a Ninja in these f*cked up times.

We're cheap bastards! We can get away with little to nothing spent on our gear and it won't make a difference, I've found Ninja on the other hand are having a hard time with SH prices and whatnot and I have one thing to say:

Tough ****!

Only because you get all/most of the parties anyway, I've waited a combined total of 20 hours in the past week with 0 party invites, and yet when I check on the Ninja that were LFG along with me, they all seem to be in parties gaining all the EXP and Merits they could want.

There's 2 parts to this, you spend more but you actually get parties.
