So yeah... I just managed to bid all of my gil (782,046) on a black cotehardie. That normally goes for 70k. The guy who sold it, Ibi, is not currently online and may in fact be someone's mule... if you know him can you let him know I made a huge boo boo and would like to negotiate possibly getting some of my money back? Please?

I swore I'd never be one of these people... -_-

You might be able to send an ingame message to Ibi. That should show up on all characters he uses.

If that doesn't work, you could ask a GM to help you get in contact with him. GMs can't reverse the transaction (as it's a totally fair trade), but they should be able to help with disputes between players.

It all depends on the person behind Ibi though.

I'm pretty sure I can't send an in-game message without befriending them first, unless something has changed a lot since the last time I tried. I'm just going to keep searching for them until I find them. -_- Ugh I'm stupid.

Eep! And here I thought bidding 7800 on a stack of fire crystals (1k more than what they were going for) was an ouchie! While we can bring into question paying 7k going rate for a stack of fire crystals in itself is a questionable transaction (=P no bringing my economics lectures up!), I feel for you Byaina! >_<

a friend i know bought dragon mail instead of a dragon harness and spent 10 mil on it (dragon mail usually goes for 400k). That hurts

Ibi sent me the excess money back without me even getting ahold of him. :D THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I doubt he's reading this and I'll thank him myself if I can find him, but public gratitude is awesome.

I vow to be more careful with my monies now. :(

Glad to see it worked out for you Smiley: grin

I just did this the other day (on a much smaller scale) by bidding 4000 on what I thought was a stack of bone chips but in reality was a single bat fang Smiley: banghead
