Holy boots, Batman ; ;Follow

I come here defeated.

I've spent 5k on a velvet cloth, got my butt scared off by the pimpalicious dead dad of the local ballbreaker, and got yelled at by the Elvaan pope.

This is a big deal you know, as I am Elvaan. We take our popes very seriously.

By all this I mean that I'm doing my AF2 right now. It's a pretty simple job; all I need is a regular treasure chest in the Crawler's Nest, and I already have a key.

But after four hours of constant running around in a single big circle in that main room (with detours to check other rooms), and tabbing till I thought my fingers would fall off, I came up with nothing. Not one chest. I know the chests pop there after checking it on Mysterytour, but I didn't see a single one in four hours.

Somewhere in there there's an area with about eight pop points, all in the same two rooms. But I couldn't figure out how to get to that area; I don't have a map, and would rather not go through the entire Selbina quest just now for one.

If there are any thief gurus or CN gurus out there, do you have any advice for a discouraged red mage? ; ;

You are in the wrong room. The Ball Room, which is what some people call that large room, is home to Treasure Chests.

Treasure Coffer is what you are looking for.

Go here Maps

You will see the coffers mostly spawn deeper within Crawlers Nest.

At the eleventh hour (literally), I found the chest. For future reference to those hunting chests here;

The big main room, where the secret room's entrance is; for some reason spawns there must be very rare. I spent most of the first eight hours hunting here, and in the little room just off that with the Helm Beetles.

I'll kind of phrase this to help those of you who are inveterate lazyasses like myself, and don't have a map ;)

In the 'ball room', there are a few entrances on the right hand side, as you come down off of the ledge.
The hallway you want is the one second from the right. This leads back to the north end of the Nest.
(I had no clue this pathway even existed until hour six ><).
It's the same path the NPC takes for that Windhurst mission.

Go straight back until you come to another ledge. Down below you'll see Labyrinth Lizards; they aggro sound, so keep sneak up.
This is the room I found my chest in. There are three pop points in this room, and if you take the tunnel to the right, there's another room just like it, with a ledge, that has three more.

In the whole of the CN, this is the most concentrated collection of pop points. Good luck, sorry about my rant, and boy, was I glad to get out of that bug farm. ;)
