well today i personally applied. i think going to a new server would be fun. might be a little slow until the population rises, but i think its worth the wait

Is the "shift" going to completely new, open worlds (servers) or is it just intermingling between the current servers as an attempt to spread out the total population?
From the sound of the news page, it seems there are 3 new servers, and there will be an application period until they have enough people to spread out amongst the 3 servers...
I'm not sure there is an underpopulated world anymore, anyway. From Bismarck's status, it's assumable all the servers got swamped after the release.

Hmm well initally I was thinking this is something I would not do. But I would be cool if it is a brand new server. Even though it is the same world, just different instance. It would kind of be like being an explorer in a new social landscape. Now I'm currently entertaining the thought of moving actually...hmmmm.
I applied with my older character that I have on Garuda that I don't use anymore. She would've expired next month, but I figured I'd try out these 'new servers'. I'd never move my main though. :0 I like Bismarck too much.

i think my whole LS is gonna go, and are planning on taking about 30 people with us.. It will be fun breaking in a new economy, especially with the cash we all have together.. There are a few that seem timid, but in the long run, i am gonna miss Bismarck, thats why i am keeping my mule there. lol
I think im going to give it a little thought to....I cant see it being that bad for long..>:)
I couldn't leave bismarck but I do think that a new economy would be nice. I'm interested to hear how these new servers will be so anyone who switches will have to share. ^^

thats the hope. the economy should be better. even with gil farmers, it will be a while before they take control of all the NMs, if they even can. they're not all that successful now controlling them all. even i've successfully hunted my leaping boots and emperor's hairpin. both don't seem to be dominated by bots. though i have heard of other NMs getting held hostage -_-
they key things for me, are trying to get peacock charm which here is a 5mil buy at the AH and you have to fight the hell out of bots to get it >_<
i also expect a cheap and good jump on guild leveling ^^

ty elysia. i'll talk to you soon, via email. i shouldn't be out of bismark until atleast the 3rd of october
It seems to me like you wont really be going to a new place, just different. A whole bunch of seasoned players will be going too, ones that craft, ones that camp, ect.
Also, about going with friends... I wonder if you guys could get split up over the 3 servers.

I don't plan on switching to another server. I love bismarck to much. And besides, by the time I'm ungrounded, the deadline for the switch will most likely be up, so I won't even be able to apply.

nope, i talked to a GM in great detail about it.. if you are from the same server, you get sent to the same server...
so anybody who is in bismarck, is gonna get sent to the same world as anybody else in bismarck.
