Applying for World Emigration (Sep. 22)

The commencement of European FINAL FANTASY XI service has increased the overall population during peak times. Though the servers are able to cope with the added load, we have noticed that the peak population at 7:00 (PDT) has increased drastically, with more Japanese and North American players joining the game. For this reason, we have decided to invite players to emigrate to different Worlds to help balance the overall population. Please read the following carefully. If you wish to emigrate, please follow the
instructions below.

We can move our whole character and items to another world now? I never thought they would allow us to do this. I personally don't want to leave Bismarck but will we get to choose which server we move to? Even if people do move there will still be a large amount of people on at peak times but I guess SE is trying to make all attempted to make the game work for everyone.

NEVER! ^^

We have some of the best people around and I'm just starting to get to know you guys so no, I'll be turning this down ^^ Not to mention my LS is the greatest and I would never leave them.

I could send one of my mules over to see what it's like but in reality I'd never play it so meh.

On a related note, maybe Lizy, the Jerry's, Zooe's, Tom's etc might be tempted ^^

Edit: In response to Yekan, they're creating 3 new worlds (servers) to house these people so you would basically be starting with a fresh world.

Well forget that! I am not leaving this server behind! Bismarck has been my home since April. It is a good idea on SE's part but I don't know anyone who would be willing to take them up on this offer. But the gil farmers should leave...that would make Bismarck an even happier place. Imagine a world with no gil farmers? Wow that would be amazing!

I don't know Eleausynia but hey we could give it a try! I'm sure they would love being on a server with all of the Europeans who are new to the game. Then they could camp the NMs and make money even faster without taking away from our gaming experience! It works great for the both of us! lol

speaking of which i seen the Zooes for the first time last night. Maybe they all will each divide up into separate servers, leaving ours for good.

I'm considering it, because I'd like to wind up on one of the new servers (since they probably will be up and running right around the same time as World Of Warcraft, I'm guessing), but since there's no guarantee you might wind up there, I dunno. I like all you Bismarck peeps, and there's probably gilsellers on all the servers ('cept Atomos, of course! XD).

Not budging. Can't trust SE lately. Been ******** stuff up a bit too much for comfort, and I don't have anything against Bismarck anyway besides the peak hours and weekends, and I only play about 4 hours every day anyway so big deal. :/

My feet are planted. My little Taru is staying where he was born.

I would but I worked very hard to make the enemies I currently have and, well, I just can't leave them. The idea of trying to make new ones elsewhere is just daunting. Besides, I would have to move the mules and that could take forever!

Nope. No point in abandoning my linkshell and all the people I've met. Although if I were to be able to pick people to send over to other servers, I'm sure every time I try to camp a NM or the freaking exoray mold I could insta send a few people...wouldn't that be lovely.

I wasn't considering this, until one of my LS's said that they might be going. Personally, I do not want to... so many friends on this server, and the new economy will take time to get up and running. Unless I can get almost all of my friends and other people I like to go, I will be staying.

Is it possible that if no one decides to migrate they could impliment a "draft" so to speak. Like they could just pick random people and send them to a new server? That would really suck... I have like 5 friends in RL that play on this server... and if I got moved I would flip!

I wonder how random the server selection is when you start up. If they now realize that some servers a far more populated than others, they should have let us choose them to begin with. They could have "locked" some of the servers in an attempt to balance them out or put a temporary hold on World Passes. Sorry, my 20 mules and I are staying put.

In such an unlikely event they would probably just make ALL new users go to the same server for a while, and possibly offer an incentive like 1 free month to emigrate. But based on the traffic I'm seeing near the World Shifter in San d'Oria, I seriously doubt this is going to become an issue for Squenix.

I would assume there is a brand new server in the works, just like when the N/A release happened, Asura I belive was opened up for immigration.

I am thinking about moving, but will only do so if many people in my linkshell do, I would have to say about 80% of my linkshell would have to agree to go, and then only if I was assured that it is all to the same server.
