I checked out my order on Gamestop's website for my order on CoP.

As of 5:46 PM Mountain Time, it was being processed, so I am holding out that it will be shipped tonight, since I had asked for overnight delivery.

Since I am at college in Boise, Idaho, my college work does come first.

Plus I am focused on getting ninja to 37, so i can get thief to 75, and then warrior to 75, and then ninja to 75... LOL

Glad to see it's not just us.... Neither EB nor Best Buy (in the Los Angeles area) had it or even knew when it would be in. Grrrrr....

Gotta love the games never showing up the date they're supposed to.

lol same thing happened here in Illinois. I called EB as soon as I woke up..."Nope, sorry, hurricane down there messed up the shipping."

Oh well, tomorrow then ;) No biggie.

I ordered mine online and payed 10 bucks extra for overnight delivery. I think Im'a try to get that 10 bucks wiped off my credit card, seeing they f'ed up. >.>

Edit: Conspiracy Theory time. All these Hurricanes are actually made by the Japanese and thier amazing technology. They use their weather machine to chime up hurricanes at will and send them across the world! They slow down release dates and make us poor NA saps wait even longer. I need sleep....

Wrong...

So... correct me then.

No point in just saying wrong without the right answer. As far as I was aware, both Gamestop and Funcoland are owned by the EB Games franchise.

Oh, and no CoP for me yesterday. I'm gonna try again today and see what happens.

Gamestop and Funcoland's parent company is none other than Barnes and Noble's. I used to work for Gamestop. Employees of B & N could get discounts at Gamestop, and vise versa.

I can confirm it's owned by B&N. Especially since it says as much on their recipts (or at least around here it does).

EB in one mall here (Pennsylvania) claims that they're sold out.
EB in another mall here says it hasn't shipped yet.
EB in yet another mall said it hasn't been released yet, and they had no idea there was to be an expansion to FFXI.

....so, you tell me...They already charge more than Best Buy and Gamestop. EB is one of the most incompentant (and so is my spelling today) companies around these parts, and apparently their track record isn't affected by state or region. Makes me angry.

On a related note,

Wal Mart had the PS2 version but promptly sold out. They never order a lot of video games around here because they "can't compete" with EB, etc. Bet they're regretting it now.

My PS2 preorder is in at EB, but my wife has the truck, so I can't go pick it up (along with my copy of DDR Extreme).

The PC version hasn't made it in yet.

EB has always been a separate company. When Software Etc. and Babbages merged, they maintained (and still do to an extent) separate brand identities, though many of them are being converted to GameStops lately.

If they were all owned by the same company, I'm sure that GameStop would have converted those too.

Ahhh, correction assimilated.

EB 'round Jersey says that the PC version should be available tomorrow (9/23). Gonna go in tomorrow... again... to see if there is any validity to their claim. Good luck to us all.

... Lets just hope Hurricane Jerry[xadsfsda] doesn't hit and wipe out the entire shipment o.0

After reading these posts on this thread, I started to wonder whether my copy would be in on Friday or not when I went home for the weekend from college. So, I finally called my EB at home (I'm in Jersery) and was informed that they did have the PS2 versions in, but that the PC versions would be forthcoming. Good to know when I roll into town on Friday, I can walk in with my pre-paid receipt, grab the expansion, and let the fun begin.

Just have to remember not to hit stop at all, what so ever.

Supposedly, us here in Massachusetts should be getting it in today (thursday)... but I doubt it. The people had no idea wtf they were talking about.
