Looking for advice on limit break one to those who have done it, on where the last item can be found.
Been told that it can only be found at Elideme (sp) with the Lich.
1) Is it not possible to get it on the other area's that the site has said? i.e. Canal and West Altep?
2) Fighting this Lich, what would be the easiest way to defeat it? Site says it acts as a BLM, would silence help?
Any to all tips / advice for this along with the rest of the Limit Break One items would be helpful

Not sure if the item drops in the Canal, but if it does in West Altepa, I wouldn't suggest it anyway. Liches are pretty rare there to begin with, and there is some nasty agg for level 50's.
The Canal sounds like it'd be more of a pain than Eldieme, also, but I couldn't say for sure as I've only been once for BLM AF3 -- there might be places somewhat easier to get to with plenty of liches, but I didn't see many liches at all, much less any near safe camps (hahaha, is there such a thing in the canal?).
Eldieme is your best bet, for sure, because not only am I certain it drops there, there are plenty of liches.
The best camps are in the entrance that you can only get to through Beaudecine->Batallia. Sometimes it gets overcamped, and the lich population thins out. The two camps I know of are the stairs past the first two mummy rooms (both of which have lichs spawns), but a pair of dogs will spawn there (they are not hard though). The other is past that, in the tunnel past the first room with Ka's. Don't even play with the Ka's unless you bring a higher tank. They hurt.
Liches have low HP and defense, and yes, they are BLMs. They can cast Freeze and Tornado (and will), so make sure someone can Stun them. Silence is good but I *think* I remember them resisting it a lot. If you get a choice in party members, try to bring a monk, and maybe a paladin to tank.

Do the Lichs in Altepa drop the paper? Site says yes. Reply's to the quest says yes. Can anyone on this server confrim it?

Still no idea if Altepa Liches drop it, having never hunted them there.
Not only do liches only spawn at night there, you'd have T-VT antican to deal with, cactuars, scorpions, and so on. (I believe Tulwar Scorpions con IT++ at 50.)

I think you're stuck in Eldieme my friend :( Fortunately I was helping an LS mate get his key there and we ended up getting his key, then his Coffer, then my Tavnazian Bell, then my Papyrus in about 90 min ^^ We were VERY lucky from what I'm told. Didn't even have a Thief in the group.
The point of the quest is to get the items from the three dungeons closest to Jeuno. Crawlers Nest for the mold, Garlaige Citadel for the coal, and Eldieme Necropolis for the paper. I highly, seriouly, blatantly doubt that it drops off of Liches in Altepa for this very reason.

I have tried for the last 3 days to get the paper and I cant seem to get it! We got one drop by the other member of my party who needed it lotted higher than me. Then the whole partied died while trying to get me my paper due to some horrible linkage. So if anyone is willing to help me out it would be greatly appreciated. I have come to realize why so many people will quit at level 50. This quest is getting far too complicated for me.

Sorry to hear you had bad luck with your ancient papyrus. First time I went down there was major hell, but the second it went really, really, smoothly and we were able to get everyone some paper. Well, send me a tell or i will look out for u today and see what we can do.

I just want to give a big thank you to Ivwri! Without him and Tat's help I would have never gotten this done! We went to Eldieme and had the papyrus on the first drop! Thank you so much! ^^ Now I am cleared for 55!

lol that was really cool. I had a feeling we would get it on the first kill but decided not to say anything and jinx it ^^;. Congratulations again, and if u have a lower lvl job u want to lvl sometime gimme a /tell ^^
