ok here it is i just got my smn to 20 and want to get my next couple of summons which ones do u suggest?? Do i have to solo them?? Also how do i get fenrin?? also is bahamut coming in the expansion pack?? if it is i wonder how to get him cause that would be awsome lol =^^= and ty in advance for any help possible

Hey ^^. Having just finished all the lvl 20 avatar battles a few months ago myself, I can offer some advice:
Q: which one's do you suggest.
A: Frankly, all of them. I refused to lvl past 20 until I got them all, kinda like how I am with lvling my Subjob. They don't really get any useful blood pacts till the mid-20's, but it's the principle.
Q: Do I have to solo them?
A: Yep ^^. It's difficult at first, but I found it to be the most rewarding and fun experience I've had in-game so far. Once you get the pattern down, you're set.
Q: How do I get Fenrir?
A: Eh, well he;s not available as a 20 battle avatar. To get him, you have to do all the high-lvl avatar battles to get the 'whispers' from them all. Once you've done that, you can take on Fenrir. I've heard that you should be in the 60+ neighborhood to even take a chance with it. Oh, and the high-lvl battles aren't soloable, ya need a full PT.
Q: Is Bahamut coming out in the expansion pack?
A: There's some screenshots of Bahamut in CoP, but no one knows if he'll be an attainable avatar or not. I'm leaning towards 'no', but you never now with SE...

it explains in detail everything you need to know about doing the lvl 20 avatar fights with extras such as fame.
I also have all my avatars minus Leviathan (as you can see in my signature) and Fenrir (same reason as Solrain explained). It does get easier as you keep doing then but for some reason Leviathan for me has been a road block. What that website won't tell you is what to do when the avatar uses it's 'astral flow' move and kills Carby instantly.....good thing you don't lose exp when you fight those lvl 20 avatars ^^. All you can hope is it either does it's killer move when you're far away and can recast Carbuncle or just smile, take a pick and hope for a quick death. And as for fighting the avatar on it's 'weak day'....well I've been killed by leviathan on lightning day also...just don't fight them on their strong days. Damn you Leviathan...i WILL defeat you eventually. But also as Solrain has mentioned, they are some of the most exciting fights to do.

I've found that, for the most part, Garuda is the way to go. I sort of got lazy and got Garuda and Titan and stopped until my set party decides to go out and get all the whispers. For the most part, parties expect the SMN to be a support class \ White Mage. With Garuda and Carby (Aerial Armor and Shining Ruby), you'll find that people REALLY WANT YOU!^^
Garuda is found in Rabao and Titan (if you want to bother), is in Bastok. Shiva is in Northern Sandy, Ramuh is in Mhaura (SP.), Leviathan is in Norg.
The strategy that seems to have worked for me is the one that is found on the Summoner.info page that was mentioned:
3xHi-potion
3xHi-ether
1xSteamed Crab (The HQ one.....if i'm wrong)
1x Yagudo Drink
And gear that cares only about defense. MP isn't an issue with the Avatar fights as you just run in, down the drink, eat the crab, summon carbuncle, (order here is up to you), send Carbuncle off to attack, Astral Flow (make sure you are by carbuncle when you do this), searing light, RUN AWAY!!!! Down a Hi-Ether, Summon Carby again, Searing Light again, RUN AWAY!!!!!! Down another Hi-ether, Summon Carby again, Searing Light and VICTORY!
It sounds easy but there are so many things that can go wrong it just isn't funny. Garuda's Aerial Rage one shotted me, Shiva just kicked my *** the second time I fought her, and Titan beat me down with Stone II. When i won I had 1hp with Garuda and 50 with Titan.
