G & B Player lists, your thoughtsFollow

Do you guys want me to host the lists back on my journal again?

I never nuked the old ones so they are still there, just locked but basically it would avoid the crap that we have been seeing recently.

I can't believe with all his ******** about the bad players list that he went and started the same crap in the good player list too.

My plan would be, if we did it, to Lock + sticky the 2 current threads[in this forum], and provide the link back to my journal in the opening threads.

What are your thoughts on this?

Also the rules i would use are as follows:

You may nominate anyone for either list.

You may NOT nominate yourself for the good player list.

You may dispute anyones claim about their belonging on the list in 1 post, if it needs to be repeatedly edited thats ok, limit it to 1 post/person involved.

No flaming other people's posts.

NO anonymous posts, they will be nuked without hesitation.
NO anonymous posts, they will be nuked without hesitation.

I have a feeling that's a good idea, having the ability to weed out crap like that (my posts in reply as well, I can't believe I took the bait >.<) would be valuable so that the threads don't get choked up with garbage.

I think it would be a good idea. And I too would like to apologize for cluttering the other thread with a senseless argument. I'm human, I tend to react to stupidities in a not so considerate way sometimes. Sorry ^^"

/em accepts her slap like a man... er... woman... right.

That may not be a bad idea, Tset. Find out if you can get a link to your threads stickied at the top of this forum so people don't go looking for and/or starting the threads here.

Sure, let's do that. He never replied to my posts because the only thing he was smart enough about was that he was quite obviously no match.

I saw that little **** in Giddeus last night using /say macros and acting badass cause he was fighting Zhuu Buxu the Silent and a Piper simultaneously...oooohh.

EDIT: Oh yeah, the funniest part was he had the "Mentor" flag up. Says alot for Mentor status, geesh.

I think the good and bad player lists are doomed to fail. There is always going to be the disgruntled pt member that hates the whm he partied with yesterday in kazham because he died once. **** happens.
The problem with making this public is that too many people will jump to conclusions "OMG U DON'T USE TEH MARCO, U R A BAD BLM lol"......
(I just slapped myself for typing like that, but I hope it makes a point).

I guess I'm just against anything that would slam another player and potentially ruin their reputation.

This is why a story should be behind the opinion. Then each of us, as mature non-discriminatory individuals (like I know we all are, hrmph) can view the story and assess the validity of the complaint. Also, the mentioned individual in the complaint has not only the right but the free ability to retort the originator's post.

I, for one, realize there are some who have have been nominated that did not offend in a manner that would gain them my personal /blist status, but the majority of the situations mentioned and individuals on the list have been reported by MULTIPLE sources. Not just one douche with a grudge.

So I say, Thank God for the Blist thread, it saves alot of my time not partying with individuals whom I am confident in their inability to function as an intelligent human.

I certainly understand your point, and when the server forum was in Tse's journal I believe that it was a good thing. However, now that the forums have gone public and you have scads more people reading them, it just won't work. Perhaps moving it back to his journal will help out in the cause, but I have my doubts. I respect the opinion of each and every person on this board, but very seldom will I take anything they say to heart. Especially if it's dealing with the credibility of someone whom I've never seen in my life.

Good luck with your hatelist though :), I'll shutup now

the purpose is to make people aware, if someone posts about somebody 1 time then maybe they were having ab ad day.

There are people on the list that can be confirmed by multiple people.

TseTsuo, I would whole-heartedly endorse this suggestion. When the list was moved over here originally, I had naively hoped that players like this idiot Belgarath or whatever this name is wouldn't show up - but I admit that I was completely and absolutely wrong. :)

Cheers!
