Hurricane Frances: FL Bismarckians Take Care...Follow

#1 Sep 02 2004 at 4:48 PM Rating: Good
Here in Nebraska I'm far far from natural occurances such as hurricanes (we get the occasional tornado though) and I just wanted to wish our Florida players a Godspeed and prayer. I know there are at least one or 2 posters from there , be careful guys!

I myself live in ND so i haven't seen anymore than 50 MPH winds so i can't pretend to know what ur going through. But looking at what the last one left in its wake(Charley if im not mistaken?), I wish you all the best and hopefully it will run out of gas before it lands on the coast. Take care and Good luck!

I have a few friends in Florida too that I've met from a few different games online over the years. One of them just got their place back in order from the first hurricane.

Stay safe guys, and know that a lot of us are thinking of you.

You're lucky to have a closet. I'll be huddling under my stairs with a teddy bear and my computer. It's going to hit right over top of me.

If ever you wondered what it was like to know you guys, I'll say now, it was a blast.

And if I'm without power for days I'll likely convert to a Cast-Away-esque monologue. I just need to find a volleyball.

Thanks for the kind words, I sure hope my power doesn't go out, as I had big plans in Bismarck this weekend. I'll stay online as long as the weather allows :)

I'm staying until the power goes down, too, but it's more of an "I'm extremely bored," thing and not an "I'm addicted to this game," thing.

I'm right on the dividing line of Lake and Volusia county. And according to the weather guy, we're expected to have Sustained Winds of up to 70 miles per hour, for up to fifteen hours.

I'm gonna die.

First Charley...and now...Frances. People in FL, I just saw pics of the davastation in FL on MSN...

I am praying for all of you, to both the Goddess of the Dawn in the game (when I can get back on it) and to God in real life.

Please be safe...

And please post something anything to let us know you are ok when the storm passes, k?

No kidding, does anyone from FL have power to post? Hope everyone is ok. I hear they might be getting another hurricane now!?!? And it could be a category 5? WTF!

I lost power from 5pm Sunday to 4 pm Monday, but am fine now. The worst of it has passed, but there are still parts of town with flooding and power out. I didn't have to go to work again today :)

Fortunately, I won't be around when Ivan hits.

I finally got power back today, after losing it on Sunday at around 11:30 am. And yes, there is another hurricane on the way, Hurricane Ivan (Aptly named, since it's a Cat. 4-5 hurricane at the moment), and yes it is headed towards Florida. Yippy skip.
