First question I have for you is, are you a friend of Hiptaru?
I'm not sure I would call myself a friend of his. But I have a vested interest in anyone who I feel is being treated unfairly.

But aside from that, there's been a few posts on this very forum about Hiptaru, his casino, and his legitamacy. This post was to give people a first hand account of how shady Hiptaru is.
Lets look at it this way...if there is no way that someone can verify who was really supposed to win Hiptaru's game and you were just supposed to trust him at face value, how can one trust that he doesn't give it just to his friends instead of a legitimate winner. If a guy can't be honest about a price of an item and when confronted about it goes off wildly, how can one be trusted to raffle off an item fairly?

That's an interesting point, Tweedius. There really *is* no way to ensure that he pays out fairly - unlike some sort of government lottery, there's nobody watching his books. This could be a start-off for an intriguing discussion.
I would appreciate it, however, if you could point out to me where you actually said anything like that in your initial post. The closest I can come to it is:

What I don't understand is that, why would you guys fall for this latest scheme of his? The odds are worse then the casino he was running. And without the Mithra.
But it's a far cry from that to the more valid point you make above. Your original post seems to mainly complain that he didn't listen when you told him to chance the price, and doesn't mention anything about credibility or the inability to tell if he's paying out fairly. If I've somehow misread what you wrote, though, please tell me how.
Incidentally, though I won't quote it, I am glad to see that you guys could make up on this issue. It's heartwarming to see two people resolve something in a responsible way..:)
Cheers!
