Fun and Teamwork, What Adventuring is AboutFollow

So, there I was in Jeuno.. waiting for my friend Brisania. I had just finished helping friends kill an NM for mission 4, and was ready to help sweet Bris with her AF.

While waiting in Jeuno, Bris gets a /tell. What could it be? Why, an offer to do Genkai 2! We had talked about doing it this morning, and it came at such an opportune time. AF can wait. We join.

At first, there's only me, Bris, and the invitee...Reverence. We start shouting for allies. I play megaphone once more, and begin to shout: Genkai 2 (Level 55 Cap Break) - Wanted: Able-bodied Adventurers! Please send /tell and fight!

One by one, we begin to fill in the ranks. Some were our level, others slightly higher, but all in all, we were there to fight and have fun.

Not everyone had the teleport crystal. What usually would hamper a quest did nothing of the sort. While one half teleported and waited, the others trudged their way through to us. It took time, it took patience, but they persevered.

In the meantime, my friend, Tinytot, appeared. It was a surprise... but he was there to see me off and wish me luck, perhaps protect me a little from the evils of the land. Also, a bretheren Rdm, Alauce, happened to mention of a sword he had that I could use and borrow... which later he would give to me, I owe him so much thanks for that beautiful blue sword.

And so... to continue on, in the white beauty of dangerous frost and snow, we were all collected and ready to go. An alliance of some strangers, some friends, but all adventurers ready to fight to victory.

Our first snag came with one Paladin. Poor Bagram's connection failed him more than once that night. I stayed behind as the group left for the first NM. He needed sneak and Invis, who was I to deny him safety till we reached party. Tiny stayed as my protector, and when Bagram finally came, we were off and running. In true comraderie form, the alliance waited for us. We arrived and there was much rejoicing.

Our arrival wasn't without its hitches. Occasional agros left and right from demons, undead, and floating eyes were inevitable. The alliance fought bravely, each one helping the other, no one being left behind.

As we reached the cave, our first real enemy approached. The Hound eyed us with contempt. He rushed forward. We charged onward. We fought with all our might. Our might was more than enough. We triumphed. Fleeing for the ??? we took our leave quickly and rushed on to the next challenge.

More agros would test our mettle, but we were not discouraged. We fought on. Noone would be left behind. Our next enemy, the coeurl, would lick its lips, thinking easy prey had come about. We would deny that enemy its life. Bash after bash, hit after hit, wave after wave of slices, dices, and magic would prove more than a match. Again, we would race towards the ??? and back out again, eager to finish our trial.

Demons, our foes, would not, could not stop our charge. We marched onwards. The Giants of the frost would try to stop us, but we decimated them along the way. No one was hurt for long, and we made sure of it. We were a team, after all.

And so, there was our last enemy. He faced us, that evil glint in his eye. We were not long in our attack. I would be injured from the battle, but the healing mages were with us every step of the way. I saw yellow no more in my health, and I continued the assault with the other frontliners. Soon, victory! We triumphed! We rushed to claim our prize and rushed out just as quickly.

There were only shouts of praise and thanks to be had. There were no disgruntled or dismayed groans to agonize the long waits or the constant agros. We had won, not just in fighting, but in the ability to band together for a common cause and survive. No deaths among our bands. We arrived strangers with one common goal, and left friends with a great memory. Thank you to all...

I wish I had an alliance the day I got destroyed in Xarcabard... Let me give you some advice: NEVER poke your head into a strange cave. Translation: The Boreal Tiger fried me (Firaga II) and then ate me (critical hit). >.<

I must say I'm honestly impressed that the party stuck together after all that. That rarely, if ever, happens. Congrats are in order to you!

Hehehe. The entire trip was a blast from start to finish. ^^ I'm so glad you guys allowed me to come along. It was great exploring Xarcabard to its fullest and meeting new foes (and indeed, more new friends).

The people were great, the excitement was high, and everything just seemed to flow so well. This was my first big alliance for anything, and I think it went very, very well. I'm always up for something else, if you'll have me. :)

Alauce, just say the word, we'll call up an alliance once more in Jeuno for all the explorations, coffers, or what not. Shoot, if Altana permitting, if we should all happen to have Chains at the same time, we should all form an alliance go out exploring together ^.^

And I'm definitely glad you joined. It was definitely some good high spirits going on. I'm glad I joined, that's for sure ^^;
