sandy isnt that bad!!!!!
it has changed a bit now, there arent as many people gambling
actually i NEVER hear a gambler shouting in san when i go there..
at least not anymore
and there arent a lot of n00b shouts at all
sandy n00b shouts are just the same as other cities!
i mean, come on people...
sandy isn't bad at all

i have barely heard a beggar asking for gil
i have seen it one time
and he asnt shouting, he was /saying...
it was kind of annoying...
i just gave him 500 and he stopped

anyway, i think sandy is the best of all the cities, because, well like demoncide said, windy is just too huge, and bastok is just too..... mountany lol

i do think the shouts were bad at first, and the gambling, but it really isnt as bad now
at least i dont think it is

So, yeah... I'm a Windurstian Elvaan. I just got finished killing the sandi dragon and actually bloodwarped back to town. Yeah, it is sad, but that was the second time I'd ever been to that area (first being when I GOT there to kill the dragon). So, there I am asking for Tele-Mea. I get several /t's

"Pig F*cker"
etc....

I do have my checks filtered... it annoys me to see "____ examines you" Makes me fell all dirty and stuff. LOL

Well, I start offering to pay 5k just to get out of sandi (I never capitalize because of this by the way). Somebody shouts "Dont give Fionchadd a Port he'd a ***" Then I get "We dont port in sandi, we urn our way" (yes they screwed up earn) As soon as this jackass says that... "Jackass begins casting teleport Mea on Jackass" appears on my chat log (no his name wasnt REALLY jackass...but it should've been) then "/em jackass flips off Fionchadd". So, logged there and then and set up a teleport with my ls for the next day.

Well...being from Sandy and all, as far as the place itself goes, I think it's nice. North Sandy and (most of the time) Port Sandy are realtively quiet. It's really just South Sandy that has all the issues.
I think the problem is that it's loaded with newbs. How? You may ask lol...cause they're in a rush to play the game...and Sandy's right at the top of the list of cities. So they keep hitting enter until the game starts and bam! Their home town is Sandy lol.
You come in through the gate or the mog house and all you'll see is a bunch of people with question marks over their heads shouting fairly irrelevant stuff. But they're newbs...they're gonna do that no matter where they are. For some reason, there just so happens to be an abundance of them in Sandy.
This doesn't make Sandy in and of itself a bad place, it just means some of the people there need to stfu. Sandy does have its good points. Hell, we were doing a way good job at staying in first on the region info up until just recently (but hey who am I to argue, signet's gonna last longer now hehe) and there are plenty of good players coming out of Sandy. There are problem players, sure. But they're all just the newbs (who will hopefully catch on by the time they're lvl 10 that you don't /shout about every dumb little thing) or the casino guys (who if we just ignore, will hopefully go away lol).
Just cause some of the residents suck a bit of **** doesn't mean Sandy does :)

anyways, Sandy is like an LA because La has Ollevia Street <can't spell that street name but that one, you know, the one with that thing for $5, really cheap but i broke a month after i bought so..oops drifted off> , and other places that are..um..good

SO THE POINT IS sandy is still a good city but there are those problem that make every city bad

P.S. have you lokked at the RDM AF, looks strange

well, thats great for all you people who use the AH in Port...well I do too(when possible), but what about us poor leather crafters? I have to run all the way across S. Sandy just to get to the guild which means a run back afterwards...and since the AH is right there, mght as well not waste time
