seem to recall that Bismarck is one of the underpopulated servers, actually. Two of the three characters I've made didn't require Worldpasses, as I got Bismarck by default.

actually i believe we are one of the biggest if not THE biggest, why look at the menu before u open the server forums and look which server has the most posts, bismarck has like 1000+ posts more than any other server meaning that more ppl are registered from it and on this sites membership, meaning that bismarck is most likely the biggest server.

Or it could just mean that Bismarck players happen to go to Allakhazam more than the other sites out there. I know I've introduced quite a few people to this place myself.

Either way, last weekend there were 6k people on.

I'm sorry but it's already laggy, even on lowres on PC, even on PS2, and I have broadband, 1.5MBps.

So either A) get faster servers or B) get better ones

because I just don't know how much more she can take cap'n.

faster servers won't come. FF11 run at something near 56K. so all players play at the same speed. right after the updater you hit a bottle neck. if you want to test it go to jeuno on a 56K and a DSL/Cable. you won't see any diffrence

Us Bismarkians(?) usually fill every server forum higher than the rest. I doubt we are the biggest though.

Isnt that like, an oxymoron?

I'll be rejoining with the EU release, and I am from England, I would never consider myself to be below an American player in another other than level.

They may of spent more time on the game than me but theyre not better gamers because of it, theyre not inherantly better due to an earlier release date, in fact, before I left FFXI earlier this year for some time the Americans were the worst thing about this game.

Im sure a lot of the EU players will be worse, but ive sure experienced whole lot of Americans who didnt know what they were doing, even after the game was released over there for quite some time.

Well, thats all I have to say, my copy of FFXI got dispatched almost three hours ago, providing royal maildeliver on Saturday I will be playing by tomorrow night.

I also got my Radeon 9800 PRO, so I can look at all the pretty models.... *trails off of his point*

Edit: And to the people that want to group with EU players, if I get the game tomorrow, on Saturday we can group reeeal soon, wouldnt that be fun. Im not sure how fast i'll be able to get to Qufim or whatever, but I doubt itll take too long unless I need gil.

Worst case scenario, my "next day delivery" takes until monday to get to me, which would kind of suck, and ruin my FFXI-o-rama weekend plan, well, now I have to go to college.

all i know is there will be a flood of crystals and i hope the prices dont jump to high because of it.

We had something like that not too long ago and a stack of earth went up to around 1k i think o_O

Would be nice to have people from England on, seeing as im from England and sometimes is a tad slow between NA and JP times, well JP time has been farming time for me as its the usual story "JP party only" search comment >.>

We are not all bad...

Blanketing a whole NATION is a bit much isn't it?

That would be like me saying that because a German girl hit me once, all German girls are mean. (Which they aren't, first hand experiance ^^).

There are bad Japanese players as well as bad North America Players. And I know that there will also be bad European players too.

But there are good Japanese players as well as good North American Players too. And I know that there will also be good European players too.

Has every single encounter with an American really been horrible? I am curious to know who you are partying with if that is the case. I have met a few bad players in my time, but very few of them. And I had played a LOT until college started.

So please don't typecast a whole country as bad, because there is no way it could totally be true...

Heh, every single FFXI forum I go to that has server subforums proves to me that if it's not the biggest server, Bismarck is at least the most vocal!

Welcome to the EU folks. I'm very sad that there isn't an Italian version yet....
