FFS! Would somebody do something about the guys spamming the hell out of us with the same three messages? We don't have filters anymore? They aren't even changing the wording! Maybe even go along with the policy other sites use and don't let one post wonders link?

They've been using a URL shortening service with legitimate use, so filters probably won't help unless they decide to disallow the legitimate in order to stop the illegitimate.

That much we may have to live with, but if we can filter C huck N orris, can't we at least make them type some new boilerplate or at least come up with new titles?
I remember back in my FFXI days there were numerous spammers and the whole account hacking ordeals with keyloggers, etc. It was suggested that something like not letting new posters post hyperlinks (clickable ones) would help, but it was shot down...

This specific form of spammer should be less troublesome now. Countermeasures have been enacted. Given how quickly they have been changing some of their parameters we won't get all of them, but there should be less of them significantly.

My mouseover of this thread showed an unrated post. Did someone really spam this particular thread? 
They really did. Self banning spammers are still the best spammers in the entire universe! Also, check your PM's when you get a minute. I'll forward you something hilariousn I recieved from a spammer.
