Unable to login to TORHEAD.comFollow

#1 Jun 15 2012 at 6:32 AM Rating: Decent
I created a Zam account a few weeks ago and was able to successfully login to both Zam.com and Torhead.com. Now, however, whenever I try to login at http://www.torhead.com/login, I an redirected to http://www.torhead.com/user and it displays an error page which reads "You managed to do the Kessel Run in under twelve parsecs! However, you broke the internet. Try again. Or, you can try contacting us - we wouldn't want you breaking the internet any further.". I can confirm that when I try to use a different browser, I Still cannot login. I have flushed my DNS and cleared my cache. No luck. I can login to Wowhead and Zam...just not Torhead.

Thanks for any help on this issue! I really love your services!

The login page link in your post contains a comma at the end in the URL. if you click on that as is, you get that error. If you remove the comma, you get the correct login page. is that a direct copy of the link you are using, or did the comma get added by the forum parser?

Sorry, that comma was added by the forums. Here is the process of what I try to do:

1.) Go to http://www.torhead.com/login
2.) Fill in my info/login
3.) Page redirects to http://www.torhead.com/user
4.) Receive "You managed to do the Kessel Run in under twelve parsecs! However, you broke the internet. Try again." error.

Like I said, I can login to other services, just not Torhead, even though I use to be able to login. If you can't replicate the error, I'll try and make a video showing me login with CAMStudio later (at the airport)

Darn, I thought that was going to be an easy fix too!

The page is using an ajax Java based script to processes some of the login information. It could be a script blocker. My other theory is the e-mail address tied to your account ends in characters we don't see often, and given how many e-mails end with ".com", I wonder if the devs have an address validator that is breaking on that last bit. I'll create a ticket to get the devs looking at it.

I'm having some issues with Torhead and Wowhead randomly logging me out. Not sure if it's because I don't visit those sites regularly like I do Akzam, but I don't have the problem here.

When I say randomly it's because I haven't noticed a pattern. Sometimes I stay logged in for days, sometimes I have to log in every day.

Want me to take it there?

I cannot log in as you, but I can log in as me, that's as far as I have gotten. Get back to you tomorrow at some point. NOT early as I am going to the dentist to have a tooth ground down for a crown and I am a cry baby...

Hope all goes well! I'm in no hurry :D

If it helps, under my ZAM account page, I do see under "ZAM Network Accounts" where I have created/setup my account on WOWhead and TORhead. I am wondering if it may help if I change my email address from my custom @domain.name to my regular @gmail.com address. Maybe the user login auth system doesn't like third level domain names? (ex. @email.example.com)

So, it seems that changing my email address to the @example.com from the @email.example.com helped. I was able to successfully login now. WoWhead and Zam.com used the 3rd level domain email address - just not Torhead.

Anyways, thanks for the help! :D
