Spells: Spirit of the Puma (already working correctly it seems): https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/spell.html?spell=6906
Call Hither: http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=14750&source=Live (looks good also)

Items: Pointed Control Shaft (still showing Unknown on Alla page, looks good on Lucy): https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=69940
Exoskeleton Backup Short Sword: https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=70502

I'll get / check some more spells, but I don't remember any others offhand and will have to search the spells spreadsheet. There are several though.

EDIT: Just remembered there's a delay between Lucy item updates and the Alla page displays, is probably why it's still showing the old way on the Alla pages.

EDIT 2: Working on Alla pages. Took a bit longer than I remember, but still only 2 days.

I'm going to. I've just been working so hard on the EQ wiki AAs I haven't taken the time to find one yet. Got any suggestions? I'm thinking it needs books in the background, and a pipe. Smiley: grin I also thought about something like what the Yther character is suppose to look like. Female Dark Elf Witch Hunter. I got ideas in my head, but don't think I could draw it anymore. EDIT: Silver hair and Purplish Eyes or Purplish hair and silver eyes, and dark brown or black skin, not blueish like in most games. Like in the intro of the story would be cool ... I wonder if I have any drawings of that stored away somewhere; A wood cabin, a wood table and chairs with a small three fingered dragon claw holding a crystal ball and a note and candles beside it.

Sounds like Drizzt to me! I actually googled dark elf library and the result was NSFW! Here is a good pic on deviantart

I like the Drizzt picture. It's very much like the one idea I described.

If you want. I can do it. Just been busy. But you may make it look better. Most things I've done, I like but others not so much. I'd probably end up adding stuff to it, I like to make every picture original. Hehehe! And actually, that's why I haven't done it, I wanted to figure out how to add some stuff to it, without ruining it. :D I like it as is though.

EDIT: I got it finally. After being so chitty-chatty, I figured 5 more minutes isn't going to hurt anything, and if I don't add anything to it, it'll be alright. I think it looks pretty good!

I'll put some in my images later on, that I've done. EDIT3:I posted some to my images. The Divine Justice logs is what I was thinking of about what I like and others don't. I like both, but the one is more original, it just needs a better background, as I didn't spend any real time on it. And I wish I had backed up more logs, especially the original EQ2 ones. I had almost every under 20 quest in the original game documented. So many of them are gone, and the some of the dialogs were very funny with takes on songs, bands, movies, and books. The references were endless. The creativity in the design, eventhough somewhat copy other sources, but making it original by making it fit well within in the context of the game was one of the best features of it.

EDIT: And thanks for noticing the effort. I should of done alot of the stuff earlier, and after seeing Byron get Guru by just posting merchant lists with a few hundred posts, I realized I should of done that years ago. Back in the day when I first signed up (2003 was it?) and even before that, I had lists of every merchant I'd run across in game. Back then, merchants gave different prices even at the same faction and charisma, and depending on how many of the particular items they had bought / sold recently, so I knew who the best to sell to and buy from where. Sometimes not the same depending which items you were buying or selling.

I signed up right before that post, or no more than a week. I used this site since not long after I started playing EQ in Jun of 2000, but didn't post anywhere at first, since I felt way behind, with so many level 50s and 60s by the time Velious came out and I was finally getting a good grasp on everything in the game (my first MMORPG, and even MO besides a few doom tries), but I wasn't into pvp ... I grew up on arcade video games and was used to solo play, but liked the idea of grouping as D&D and other P&P RPGs were awesome. Traveller, Starfleet Battles, AD&D, and some others I can't remember the name of. But those were the three the majority of us played. I'm surprised we never played Battletech the RPG version, only the minature battles. For those into P&P RPGs, I think Arcanum is the best all around RPG for fantasy world. Lots of classes, all well balanced, combat system is fast and simple.

Jeez, I can't keep to the point today. I've edited out about a dozen side-tracks. I'm really into describing the past today for some reason.

I may have to put this stuff in my journal or something, so I can just link to it, if it starts happening again.

EDIT: After re-reading my previous post, I thought about a program I wrote to parse log files, that's really crappy and a bit buggy in some functions, but is programmable via INI files, that I've worked on a programming language based on it. I just haven't been able to get it in a form that flex and bison to parse. I used the Gold Parser to write it and can get it compile in it, but I'd rather write it so it would work in flex and bison and write in C or C++. The basic motivation behind it was to make it simpler like BASIC and although it can use regular expressions, it has another Access-like database like search engine as well, where the search expressions are programmable (that is you don't have to use an asterisk (*) to represent find 0 or more of any character.

Jeez, I must want to talk (type) today. I'll stop now, and maybe get back to work on the EQ AAs. I still want to get as many of the old names in the spreadsheet before I start uploading updates, and finally posting the new version of the spreadsheet.

I'd use Perl, personally, but I have no idea what any of that stuff looks like coming in. We parse vendor interaction bits from logs files sometimes, but I only ever get the snippet not a whole log.

Yea Perl rocks. I used to use it a bit, but the regular expressions is what was always holding me back. I'm better at it now, so I probably should try it out again. Perl is basically the format of language I like, a bit BASIC, and a bit C when you need the detail / lower level functioning that BASIC doesn't provide. Mostly I used it on websites, as that's one that most that support any server-side programs support.

Oh, that was one of the other features of the search in my language was going to support. You could search for a long string, but automatically assign different parts to variables, with specified default values for not finding the string or even that exact part of the string. I've written the search function and tested it out in Assembly and either BASIC or C, I can't remember which I used for the high level languages I used to get the basic framework down. I may not made a working version in the higher level language either, since I always write in those when doing an involved Assembly function outline.

The cool thing about the old crappy program, is for most stuff, you only need 1 or 2 commands overhead, and 1 (and rarely 2) commands per column in a spreadsheet, so it's very fast to write something to do something quickly. EDIT: Perl is that way too, but again, I used to have trouble with regular expressions. It's the complicated stuff where it gets annoying, especially where you need to monitor states of the file you're parsing, as I didn't include any functions for that. But I'm thinking of editing it to at least be able to monitor one state using search triggers to change the state value.

I recently did a search for purchased AAs, and due to shrouding and monster missions, it didn't come out right the first time. I added hail cell to figure out the shrouding ones, but need another cell for the monster mission tasks, to be able to filter them out later as well.

Call me Brook today, 'cause I can't quit babbling!! Smiley: grin
