Your SWTOR beta key ad is misleadingFollow

#1 Nov 15 2011 at 4:28 PM Rating: Decent
On wowhead there is a post/advertisement offering beta keys for people who signup with Zam. The post states 'the beta has been hard to get into for many fans beyond a weekend stress test'

and goes on with 'This week, however, we've got a chance for you to get in easily!'

Can anyone explain how these giveaways are any different or give an advantage over someone who has been invited directly by the SWTOR team to participate in the beta weekends?

They don't? How is this a misleading ad at all? The ad simply states that you have a chance to win a beta key.

People actually testing the beta don't get invited for beta "weekends" you realize.

They actually get to test throughout the week like a regular beta--assuming the client isn't down for reconfiguring.

It's misleading as bioware has published an email stating that if you have already made it into the beta that you should "not" accept/use keys from other websites giving them away as it could reduce your chances of successfully entering/remaining in the beta. The "misleading" part is which key type is being given away; either a full access beta key for the entire beta event (or what's left of it), or a weekend stress-test key. Nor SWTOR's own site or ZAM's really clarify this.

The bold is the username, the non-bold is a title or whatever.

Landomatic there is a Wowhead user, which is what the |WH is supposed to mean. I don't know why said |WH appears twice, though.
