My character has been transferred over a month ago and still listed on the old server here. so looking up the character or creating signatures is wrong.

Our character data is based on what's provided by Trion. Also, their data doesn't say when a character moves servers, so it just looks like another character with the same name on a different server. You'll need to go to the signature page and look up your character on the new server to load them for your sig.
